Regarding 'heated/cooled seats' heated seats were frequently listed in the recent "What are two options you could do without on your Vette.." thread and as far as 'cooled' goes they aren't cooled, just ventilated by a fan under the seat.
Had cooled seats, heads up, suede steering wheel and all of that other stuff at Spring Mountain. Haven’t missed one bit since I came home to this 1LT plain Jane
I will admit that I am fairly new to this forum, but what strikes me is the number of folks here who badmouth or look down their noses at the base 1LT Stingray. Many would ONLY get a 2LT or 3LT GS or even a Z06 similarly equipped - but why? My daughters might suggest they are "compensating". In my case, I will never run my car on a track - period. I also think I gave up stop light drag racing when I was 17 or so, and even the "plain Jane" 1LT Stingray attracts its' share of attention without burning rubber or leaving a Mustang in the dust. So the base "underpowered" 460HP engine suits me just fine. Seriously, that engine is a beast when used for what I would call "normal" driving, and when you need that jolt of acceleration, it is there in spades. Let's take a look at just the 2LT options - a package I seriously considered. To me, it was not worth the money. I would like to have homelink and the forward looking camera for parking, but that is about it. I have no use for a heads up display, and why would anyone need heated seats when their car has summer only tires? Maybe I am one of the few that just don't get it when it comes to these fine automobiles, but my base Admiral Blue 2018 Stingray with automatic transmission, Navigation/Data Recorder, Red calipers, black wheels, and performance exhaust is anything but a plain Jane. I would take that girl to the prom any day of the week!

I’ll be the first to admit that I’m compensating....for my small ego
I’ve had a base model, Z51, and now Z06. The one thing they all had in common? They were a blast to drive!
Southeast Beast, so if I understand correctly... you bought the Roush Mustang without knowing who or how it was warrantied? Then, got rid of it because you feared you might have to take it some distance if/when it screwed up? All very curious, indeed. If you had a significant tuner (similar to Roush?) "warm up" your Vette, it would perform better than the Roush and you could once more have a potentially wonky warranty! Sounds like the best of both worlds!

They market roush as if you can take it to just any ford dealership(you can't),you can only take them to a certified roush dealership,(but they make you believe you can take to any ford dealership which is not the case).
I live a good ways from a certified dealership as the one I purchased this at is nolonger a roush certified dealer.
The car had some minor issues that could only be seen @ a cold start meaning I would have to drive to BFE & leave it,come back & then go back & get it & hope I never had to do it again.
Further more since you seem to be so danged nosey,I paid $28,000 less for this thing so I'm ok with it 😁
I have already made it look, sound & run better all in the 1st month with not alot of coin,so it's going to be ok.
Hope this answers your question.

1LT for me too. Don't want all that other BS. Wouldn't take it if it were free. *** coolers?
Oh please. Dual memory seats? Smarter than me. Inflatable seats? Nope. This isn't a Lexus. One exception: Installed Navtool for front camera so I don't bung up the nose. Oh yeah, Z51 for the handling goodies.

ExRedRacer : Ever driven a car with a Heads Up Display?
The answer is yes. Had one on my C5 coupe and also on my C6 coupe. Loved it and probably saved me several tickets. But when I ordered my 2014 I worried about the $ 4200.00 cost for the only thing I might miss if I only got the 1LT interior. But then I drove one and noticed the speedometer graphics and how large they were and I could easily read it with my peripheral vision so why waste money that I could use for other options which is exactly what I did with no regrets.
That's what I was wondering.I never thought I wanted/needed it until I had it in my old 12 camaro ss/rs vert & like a heated steering wheel, you never know how much you'll like them, until you have them.

Duly noted.
My question was actually directed at Red08Roadster who said that options such as the HUD were BS. I just wondered if he'd had a chance to drive a car with one and if he still considered it to be a BS option.
I use it all the time when driving my Little Blue Vette to the point that when I'm driving my other car, I sometimes look out and wonder where it is before realizing which car I'm in.
