I haven't gotten the letter yet, but looking online I do have the coverage. It's a good thing too...in a little over 1 year of ownership I had this problem twice on my 2016 stingray! The first time took 2.5 weeks to fix because they were waiting for a replacement part, the second time (with less than 5000 miles) it took a week. The leak wasn't bad enough to puddle on the ground either time, but I could smell the fuel while my car was sitting outside. Definitely gives me peace of mind that my car will be covered after the bumper to bumper coverage ends. Still love my car, but sadly I've had it in for more warranty work than any other car I've ever owned.

I haven't receive a letter, a check online shows the extended warranty to 120,000 miles. for this issue. Haven't smelled any gas at this point in my garage. Currently I have 16,000 miles and counting.
I never had an issue with my 2008 even though it supposedly had the same issue.
I'm guessing its a bad process at the supplier and since they can't limit it to a VIN range or operating environment GM is just extending coverage and will handle bad cars as they occur. It's a cost save versus a full recall.
The question you need to ask yourself is does the supplier have the issue solved or will you potentially replace the tank multiple times.

No problem for my 2008 in 74K miles. Z is fine with 31K miles.
I don't want to stir it up, just curious how others that get the letter feel about this.
I sold my car two weeks ago. I feel better about that now (not that I had regrets).
We had a similar (well, in terms of costs) issue with BMW HPFP back in the '07-'08 model range, and it affected resale prices immediately, but in the long-term it recovered and was no big deal.
Got the letter yesterday on my '16 Z51 and hope and pray I don't ever have a problem. I don't trust my dealer to change my oil let alone do this kind of repair.

I received my letter on Monday the 21st. 2016 Stingray 2LT A8. I'm thinking all the C7s built in that time frame used the same type fuel tank. My daily driver is a 14 year old Dodge Dakota,...……….and the only recall in all that time was for the Air bags! I think I paid $19,000.00 for it brand new.
I have not received the letter yet; however, on the my.chevrolet website it shows warranty extension Special Coverage #17469 to 120k miles or until 4-15-2026. Which I believe is this issue on my 16 Z06.
