How is this substantially different than poop on your top? The poop comes off of either surface easily.

My Targa panel is almost never on. It nearly never rains in San Diego, certainly not unexpectedly. I take it to the golf course on Saturday and use a California Pop Top cover (awesome by the way) which keeps everything out of the interior. I go into stores and restaurants and don't worry about it. So far so good but I am a little worried about angry or jealous birds launching some dooky into it. This car was made for SoCal.
