With MSRC, you're unlikely to ever need Sport or Track, unless you're actually on an off public streets "track." However, some street race on public streets and highways...
what mode do most c7 owners use for day to day driving? I leave mine in "t" or touring mode. I have used the sport mode a few times and did not notice any difference in driving my stingray. I do not intend to use the track mode as i do not plan to drive my car on a track.
So here's a question I've been wondering about. Since some additional power is supposed to come from all-open exhaust valves, do you get more power when in Sport mode if you set sound management to Sport compared to setting sound management to Touring?

Sport is fine with MSRC but Track is WAY too rough.

With MSRC/PTM, Track drive mode (that's what this thread is about) does not always imply Track suspension configuration. When PTM is engaged, only the Sport1, Sport2. and Race PTM modes result in an MSRC Track configuration.
My ego says sport or track mode...But reality with an auto trans, says that if in sport mode at high rev, that the transmission will not come out of high rev when trying to slow down. So I am in tour mode most of the time.
Looks like I will have to try Sport mode for a while. I have a base Stingray with performance exhaust, so it will be interesting to see if I feel or hear a difference. For those of you who use Sport all the time, do you see much of a difference in gas mileage compared to Touring?
Since you don't have MRC (or that is what I think you are saying) the ride will not change! I drove my none MRC Z51 in Sport because the 1) nannies came on a less than in Touring, 2) I liked the stiffer steering feel and 3) NPP was fine.
In my Grand Sport with MRC, after the software update, I drive in Sport but have NPP set for always Track" regardless of drive mode.
When below 45 F or is raining I put it in Weather Mode as then the nannies come on soon and prevent wheel spin.
Where it allows me to comfortably keep up with the line of traffic that is being held to 5 mph less than the speed limit by a driver that is afraid they will fly off the planet and launch into orbit, if they ACTUALLY go the speed limit. Whereupon, I can effortlessly merge onto the interstate and can pass the line of cars, only to be thwarted by a pair of side by side semi trucks that are engaged in slow motion, side by side mating ritual.
Ok, I'll play..
Steering in track
Exhaust in track
MRC in tour with new calibrations, for most conditions where I'm not going to go directly to jail because I'm having fun, When I'm willing to go to jail, PTM dry.
Vittesse in 5
Carry on.
Oh and Sub sailor, what subs?

I have steering on track, sport driving mode but touring display. I'm all over the place but that's my sweet spot.
I use Economy when most of you are in Track and when I am on the highway. They are the same power wise but may save a few pennies.
I frequently move to Sport when I want to show off and when there are no police around. When I am not on the highway I use Sport as much as possible for the great exhaust sound.
If there is any water on the road I am always in Weather mode.
I rarely use Tour or Track.
With my Stingray I liked to have the mode set to Sport unless on a really bad road and went to Touring. I locked the steering on Sport, however, as I did not like the feel in T.
On my GS, I lock the steering in S, the exhaust on Track, but leave the car in Touring most of the time. The ride is better on our less than perfect roads, but it still feels so level and "planted" on the curves.

Basically I leave in Sport, not concerned for the few pennies saved in Economy. As far as weather mode-- Course I have been driving performance cars since the early 60s and was serious street & strip racer in the muscle car times of the mid 60s till early 70s! Now I live in the mountains and enjoy the back roads up here!
