Default Finally..

Hey Guys,

I think I finally found one. It doesn't have kalahai like i want, but it seems the options I want don't exist all together. So i get all black interior.

No worries, I got the dealer to agree to install a z06 grill as part of the purchase price. Where can I find the cheapest one from a reputable company. I see them on ebay for 100, ebay title GM genuine for 240, Corvette Central for 319, ecklers for over 400. So there is a huge range. Suggestions? If the ones on ebay for 100 are doable, I would be really happy.

Also, I heard once that the air ducks need to be installed for the inlets to really be useful. I really don't need them for that use, I just like the way it looks. Will it cause any instability without out the ducts installed?

Thanks.

Congrats on finding a C7 that will work for you. Post up pics when you get the car.

Carfax reports rear end collision. Car has been in a wreck. Rear differential has been replaced not once, but TWICE.

I hope the OP read Skid's post and doesn't focus too much on the free installation of the grill.

There's a vendor here who sells one for around $160, I believe. Sorry I don't recall who it is. I have one on my car.

My advice...the package you want will eat at you after the thrill of the new car diminishes. There are a ton of them out there...the internet is your friend. A few hundred bucks shipping is better than thousands later on to get the one you really wanted.

Then if you add in Skid's comments...seems sketchy.

Good luck!

I have been seriously looking since march for a yellow with kalahari and the options i want. They either are missing one option or are about 7k too much. Seriously. I either find them with every single option and missing mag ride, or they have been in a major accident, or they want 50k when you can find them for 43, like this one, and the only difference is the kalahari interior. You wouldn't believe the number of 3LTs with all options included and then skip on the last one like magride.

You really suggest me paying 7k for a color? Would that really eat at you that much?

How long would you wait before you gave up on one option? This car even has clear bra and side shirts already installed so that saves me a couple of grand right there.

Also, please share your endless resources of options for buying cars. I am get frustrated when people tell me how easy it is find well optioned, cheap, good deals on vettes and than give no information. I use autotrader, the forum, cargurus, carfax, corvettes for sales, cars.com, and two chevy dealers (including mike fullman). Mike has never called me back and basically told me he wouldn't find one (back in march), so I don't expect to hear back from him. I have can see ~20-25 for sale at this time. And that is not a filtered list (meaning that includes 1LTs or gray interiors, etc.)

2014-2015 (because they changed the yellow in 2016 and i don't like it)
yellow
manual
2LT
npp
magride
z51
under 25k miles, prefer under 20
under 45k
GT seats (not comp)

I had better luck finding an original yellow 1980 Corvette than i am finding a newer one.

Ya, I spoke to the owner. He said there was a noise during the downshift and they replaced the diff under warranty. It didn't fix it so they replaced it again. He said he didn't have any issues after that.

The accident was someone bumped him in a bumper to bumper traffic. Had to replace the diffuser and one or two of the crush packs. Still concerns? Where did you see the diff was replaced twice?

I haven't paid anything yet and still plant to get it inspected.

Definitely get it inspected first! I wouldn’t go by what the owner says.

No way I would dish out the money for a car with a reported accident...dont care if it was hit by a shopping cart.

sorry for the bad news on that car fax , I suggest passing on a car with collision damage no matter how small as a pinched wire in a harness becomes a kremlin new to be found, also effect resale value.

Curious what the difference is between "Carbon Fiber Dual Roof Package" vs "Visible Carbon Fiber Removable Roof Panel"? Its nice you also get the transparent roof.

Tried. Offered 39 and they said no. lol. I have found that low-balling when out of state doesn't really work.

Plus, they are already about 500 below what they traded it in for. So they are not really excited about dealing at this point. I have a screenshot of the computer showing the numbers if you want to see it.

Waiting to hear back from the mechanic, but the manage said the notes say the ediff failed both times. And it has nothing to do with how the driver drives the car. Any thoughts? I waiting for the mechanic to get back from lunch.

If the car was bumped in 2015 with approx. 4K miles on the odo, and the owner drove it for 19K more mile I would say that little bump had no affect on the driveability of the car. It's not like the thing was torn in half. Sting, if you like it, and it drives out good, jump on it.

And don't worry about it being sold under cost. Old Randy will get that back with the Doc fees.
