Cup holder problem solution!!!!!

I'll BTT here and also give a thumbs up. I got one of these a few months back. Love it.
If there is ANY down side to this unit...you do lose a little bit of available girth in the cup holders due to the physical design of it. But for me and what I use in my car 99% of the time, it doesn't bother me. I'm mostly drinking Starbucks hot coffee or water bottles. Tall/grande fit just fine. Some water bottles are a little too thick. I usually stash my water parallel to my left thigh. Out of the way and easy to get to. Smart Water flip top...single hand operation. LOL.
Anyway, with this little interior mod, I never worry about my drinks in the cup holder vacating their selected location.

On March 9th I ordered the StopFlop on eBay for my 2017 Stingray (order # 14-04645-14293) for $45.90. Received it on the 16th and installed it (closely following the directions) the same day. I like the product but I can not get it to lock in the up position. When I raise it and let go, it will usually fall back down. On the rare occasion when it doesn't, as soon as I place a drink into it, it falls. Just can't get it to lock. Am I missing something?

Hey Dave, you gotta really kind of yank/pull up on it to lock it in place. Each telescoping piece is slightly concave obviously. I think there are some very small locking tabs/notches that will interlock at the full extended position. The spacing tolerance for each cylinder is crazy close. Give her a good yank vertically. If you got the mounting velcro nice and secured, it definitely won't come out with good tug on it.
To stow it, use an open hand palm down and repeat in the opposite direction. Just a good bump down.
