Not a fan. Really because it is missing the temp on the app home page and it goes back to the last open app. This creates a vicious circle because if I exit the app, shut off the car and start up again, it opens the app. If I want the app open, my google assistant can open it. Now I leave the head units home page up most of the time.
Obviously not a Corvette screen. You can tell by the side (holy?). Not sure what showing what AA looks like on another vehicle is worth.
Note: Overall I like the new AA however I have a problem with my podcast app of choice - Podcast Addict. When I enter the car and connect up AA, Podcast Addict is playing but I can't hear it. Sometimes I can hear it through the Bluetooth section that is supposed to be used for phone calls only. My usual workaround is to open the phone where I have various widgets on my home screen like Podcast Addict itself and Google Play Music and Audible. I tap on the play button for GPM or Audible, which causes AA to play that media source through the USB to the car's speakers at a good volume. Then I tap the play on Podcast Addict and my podcast starting playing again and I can hear it going through the USB and speakers at a good volume. Not sure what Podcast Addict behaves this way. GPM and Audible do not have a problem. If I was previously listening too GPM on my phone and I enter my car, connect up AA then GPM will resume playback and I'll hear it through the USB to my speakers. Ditto for Audible. But not ditto for Podcast Addict. I've contacted the author of Podcast Addict (he's German I believe) and he says he doesn't know what might be the problem. Podcast Addict simply hands off the requests to Google so that AA can play them. Yet Podcast Addict is the only app that behaves this way. Alas, listening to podcasts is my #1 activity when using AA. If anybody else has had this problem and has a workaround please contact me. Thanks.
After the update, AA not working in my 2019. I tried remedies above, but nothing there worked. Problem started right after clicking on new AA. When I connected phone to the car, wouldn't connect and said see message on App. There was nothing there. I uninstalled and reinstalled App w/o success. I cleared Data and Cache and set up AA on the phone again. Now the infotainment doesn't recognize AA at all. Tried new USB cord - still not working. Now, when the screen for AA is on the phone, it doesn't show on the infotainment screen. However, when I push the Projection screen, the AA logo shows up for just a second and then the phone exits AA. Hopefully, someone here has had success solving similar issue and can help. In the meantime, I'll try AA website and maybe someone in that community has a suggestion. For now, I just wish I could go back to the previous version as I had no problem with that version from day 1.

Have you tried going into the AA app on your phone ? My phone did the same thing yesterday even though I'd been using the new update w/o issue for the past week. Turns out that the phone app had shut itself off from connecting to the car. Once I turned it back on, it connected w/o any issue.
Have the new update, but, Auto Android is a really poorly executed piece of software with many serious basic deficiencies that other navigation systems have had for a decade. So Google spending its time on a new interface is sad, when that time should have been spent making a better navigation package.

Mikey,
I assume you are recommending have the App up and running on the phone screen. If so, yes - tried having the app. open and on the phone screen when attaching the USB and had no success. I just went to the Android Auto community forum and many folks are having the same issue as me. W/o having to download the previous version - which I don't know the previous one I had - probably will have to wait months for Google to generate a bug fix. 20/20 Hindsight is great - wish I had never "updated".
Thanks for your reply. Maybe someone else on the CF has another remedy.
OK so I followed this thread and updated my AA to the new version and began using it. It was a total wash out. I was not able to keep it working and when it did it was all over the place. The screen would jump from the correct location to tracking the route on parallel roads, roads about a mile away, and back again. When I asked for verbal directions it would work for about five min. and then lock up the verbal portion. This was happening while driving in urban areas with high cell coverage so it wasn't that as an issue. I even went and bought the best new cord I could find and that didn't do anything to help. I was beginning to think it was my phone but when I unplugged it from the car the Google Maps worked perfectly. I was frustrated but after a nice drive yesterday I decided on the way back to just go into the settings and turn off the icon that said "Try the new version" and guess what, the old style system worked perfectly! The new version in my regard is junk at this point. Just thought I would share my experience. Oh and by the way, I was having the same problem on both Google Maps as well as Waze.

Interesting. I'm beginning to think the issue is a combination of phone and vehicle. My Pixel 2XL works great on both the '17 Z06 and the wife's '18 Hyundai Sonata Limited.
Just an FYI...
I had trouble re-connecting Android Auto to my Uconnect radio after a hard reset. I tried dang near everything in the book to get Uconnect to recognize AA but nothing seemed to work. Just for grins, I decided to swap the Thumb drive from USB port 2 to USB port 1 where I had AA attached as a test. Low and behold when I swap it back and plugged in the phone to the USB port 1 AA was re-connected to the radio.
