This is the email I just got about the noise I hear. Come on guys, this doesn’t sound weird/fishy to you? Do all of yours have sand in the frames?

im sure it will be fine. I certainly don't see this as the norm, and quite frankly, im surprised they are still insistent nothing was out of the ordinary with my order and delivery. Even the way they said "sorry about the dust" is unusual to me. As if im complaining about a little dust on my lift...

As I told you in the other thread mine looked that bad as well and they were out of stock when I ordered them. I had a dent in the metal at one end. They are very heavy and they get beat up by the shipper. UPS may have re-taped it but I bet they sent you a new jack. I'd just use it. It will look a lot worse in 12 months if you do.

like I've said on several occasions, this is way beyond shippers issues. This unit was exposed to the elements outside of the box. Dirt, dust and now they are saying sand from sandblasting is inside the frame??? Does yours have sand inside the frame they say you can remove if you want to, that makes noise every time you lift one side? I've said it here, and direct to them, I don't think this was used, but it definitely was opened for a length of time.

I don't expect things for free, but I do expect to get what I pay for, and I did not pay for an open box item. I would love to have, but they ran out before I pulled the trigger....

PS. I think I am going to just use it, but still not positive. If there was another alternative/similar product, I would've already scheduled a pickup, but this is perfect for what I need. I'm still trying to find out if literally anyone else has sand in their frame that slides around to the point of hearing it every time...

I don't know what to tell you except mine looked worse when I got it than yours does. Honestly don't care what you do about it but if you order another one it may very well be in the same shape or worse.

Check you schrader valves with some soapy water. One of mine was leaking on set up and QJ sent me another one.

If you are not happy with it ask for an exchanged based on all the issues. If you are not sure whether you will keep it, definitely don't use it as it may ruin your chance of returning. You probably need to make up your mine what direction you want to go and just do it. Don't keep it if you are unhappy as it will take away the fun of using the jack!

they’re telling me it’s sand inside the frame from sandblasting... very odd to me. No ones commenting on if their new ones do this though, or even other used ones...

SharkGrayStingray ---- let us know if you have any issues with yours when up and running. Your boxes look a little "road hard and put out wet."
That's exactly what I had to do! Once the BBB was involved , they honored it for their open box, because there was no fine print. 890 shipped

I'm assuming, since no one responded, the sand in both of my frames are unique and not the norm?

It is not normal! Work on getting another one from the company so you can be happy! You paid a lot of money and deserve a good product. Escalate to management. No one is dis-trusting your judgement. Looks like sand to me!

Thanks Jt. I’m thinking that sticker is an inspected by sticker? So that would def mean it’s not a new unit. I just want what I paid for or pay for what I actually got. I can’t believe a company would blatantly do this.

There was one issue with mine when I bought it at Costco. Fully sealed boxes missing a couple rubber feet for the pump assembly.
The system works fantastic though and I'm very happy with them.

Your boxes may have been opened by customs if you are in the States, as they ship from Canada

I'd listen to the people that have actually purchased these not the ones that haven't. If they've never had one shipped to them they don't know what they're talking about. If it was inspected in October it probably is a new unit. I'm guessing they inspect the rams before they assemble the product. Any time you order something this heavy it's going to show wear and tear in shipping. If you think this is bad you should see the 2 and 4 post lifts when they come in. You actually need a can of touch up paint after you install them. Good luck whatever you decide. If you could get them to refund part of the price and keep it you'd be ahead of the game. I was pissed when mine came in with a dent in the end but after almost 2 years I don't even notice it. I do like the 12v better because it's twice as fast.

bad habit, I think you are totally wrong on this. I’ve dealt with many heavy units and shopping issues. This is beyond that. Your not looking at all the facts. This unit was built in May. To be inspected in October means they opened the box. It even says on their own website “some open box items are from quality control”. So even if qc, it should be sold as open box. This isn’t just “normal shipping use”. This is months of dirt and more. You can’t get this much dirt on a product opening it once either. I paid $1350 for a brand new unit. Sand should not be inside the frame either.
