Quick Jack issues
I know wiping it off is a lot to ask for a $1,350 lift but maybe that would be a good start toward your happiness
and bad habit is obviously wrong, so of course he'll agree with you. lmfao

PS I heard others say no sand in their unit at all, how about yours? Sand, no sand? You think that's normal? Anyone you know have sandblasted sand in their frames that hasn't spoken up?

Can't wait to see how you handle your first hydraulic fitting leak. Thankfully this thread has inspired me to get around to installing my new aftermarket fittings today
The Best of Corvette for Corvette Enthusiasts
and if you feel like scrolling back, I have stated numerous times, the lift is actually a great product, I just don't want to/like getting screwed...

If you think "go wipe off the dust" was a nasty comment you're in for a wild ride on the internet for 2020.
Everyone who told you broken boxes and dust was normal you were certainly not as receptive to as people saying screw that you need a new one. I see refurb units going for $960. If you paid $1,350 and want to pay refurb price, i would consider a $410 refund a pretty good sized check.
Hopefully it all works out and you end up happy. I have no doubt you'll keep us updated!

As far as me saying it was a nasty comment, why post the paper towel pic? You wanted to be a smart *** and you were called out on it. As far as bad habit, at least he made comments trying to help, or just post his experience. Me saying I disagree, isn't a big deal and I didn't abuse or much him for it. You on the other hand have given no useful information to this post whatsoever.
And yes, I will let whoever wants to know the outcome because it could help someone possible in the future. If you paid attention, others have posted incidents with quick jack and them honoring discounts, and other things. that's what forums are for, information.... I think you can opt out of notifications from this thread so you don't get triggered anymore.

PS as far as post 19, have you ever gotten a refurbished item? One that uses oil? You would know that they make the product look as good as new as possible. It's not going to be filled with oil. Also, new units have oil run through it, so yes, mine had a little oil come out when I took the plastic transport fittings out. those things don't prove or disprove the condition of the unit, that's why I didn't mention it...

I am going to tell them I want to return the unit. If they offer something different (not a "free accessory") I will listen. That's where it stands because there's nothing that can be done today

But I will say this.
---- I reordered from Cosco - no problems ( little wheels were damaged and new ones already in the box)
---- Fittings leak - sometimes, but just a small drop ( see next comment )
---- Don't forget to release the pressure. Hold the down button for 5 secs before removing the quick connections.
---- Above will make the reverse much easier.
I sent an email to the person I was emailing Tuesday saying I was calling my CC company and filing a complaint with BBB. Seconds before I was to hit enter on the complaint toBBB, I received an email from another manager. He was very nice and gave me 3 option, all without admission of sending me an open box item. Return item, return item and get a new one but if the new one is bad, its a 1 time deal, or get the difference in price to an open box item. Being California to New Jersey, I chose option 3. The other options would just be a headache to me.
This whole ordeal started off, not about the money, because, if they had an open box unit for sale, I would have bought it. I paid for a new unit, this was clearly not a new unit, I expect what I pay for. Nothing more, nothing less. I don't want or expect anything for free...
PS Since the last few posts started getting to be towards me and not the situation, I stopped adding to the list of issues with the unit, but there is also rust throughout the open holes in the frame that rotates when going up and down.
My advice: If you have a brick and mortar that sells these things, like Costco, buy from them!!! If you have to buy online, usually it's better to go right from the company, but not in this case. Buy from somewhere you can either pick up there and see the boxes, or a place that has a better/local return policy. I see Home Depot also sells them and can be shipped to store.
If anyone needs any more info, I'd be glad to let you know. The company isn't great, but the product is unique to them, and def a good tool to have!
