C7 value dropping

4K c7s on the used car market starting at 30k ... ouch!

I don’t care if my C7 value drops to 0. I plan to keep mine for many many years.

6 year old car going for more than half it’s original value is actually strong...check out a 6 year old Mercedes SL

Frankly they will hold their value. I also think, as vette owners we should not troll each other. The C7 is a great car and will always be. For the record I do not own one.

While I agree about holding value compared to others, that car is a 3LT Z51 which probably stickered for more than 63,000. So I would say its lost more than half.

That one car , that does not represent the entire used 2014 C7 inventory might be a multiple owner car that might have been in an accident. or a buy back. Who knows.

many people who bought cars like that got 8-12k off sticker. If someone paid sticker, hopefully they don’t make that mistake again.

This is the reason I never believed a fellow C7 Z51 owner getting 44k last month for a 1LT manual with 19k miles.

Sold mine in June via KBB instant cash offer for $34,800. 2014 2LT Z51 with 58K miles. I’d be lucky to get $30 now.

I really think it’s best to dump these cars after two years of ownership, that’s my plan for the C8. I’m ready thinking about the z06 C8

Either they sold 700 cars today or the first post is incorrect. 3312 used and certified C7s showing as of 9PM EST. I'm not surprised at this number and no, the sky is not falling. And for those that are interested, the big dealers raised the prices in January on the remaining new C7s.

I'm pretty sure they didn't do that because they aren't selling, just a guess.

It’s the middle of the Winter. Sports cars never sell well in January as 1/2 the country can’t/won’t drive them until April/May (me included)...obviously there is a flood of inventory and drop in demand with the C8 Coming out but the sky will stop falling once the warmer weather returns.

because most people posting in this group are C7 owners it might be thinking about selling that car.

That will exactly happen to the C8 too. Once you leave the dealer your car will be worth 5k less.
