My 3.0 unit is in the mail. Anyone have a video on the install? I've read the threads but still a video would be very helpful

No video needed its simple follow Elmers pics and look at my post above to see how the newer unit plugs in, Carplay has a few items onscreen and phone settings to clearly make it work that NavTool does not discuss at all.

I believe my small 4 pin black connector has 4 wires in it instead of 3 but I believe its the same one. (This is the connector that is at the end of the coiled up wire harness with the grey connectors that appears to go to the radio module).

Thanks Midgettracer31
Now I think I understand where every connector goes.
I can't believe after all my years in electronics that this unit is so difficult. Actually after a lot of advice and past experience from those that did it, the unit isn't all that hard to understand. Thats why I find it hard Navtool does not have a really detailed install guide.
I'm sure Elmer would have a few things to say on how 'easy' it is!
If only they had a simple and correct diagram, just imagine...........

The Pyle is quite adequate. The second one I purchased is awesome. It allows me to select from 3 views. Straight forward, split looking out at 45° and the best thing ever is STRAIGHT down. I look down at the tip of my splitter from the top and it gives you the look to stop within inches of contact! Friggen Awesome! I highly recommend it over the Pyle but the Pyle will work.

I had to braille the installation. Navtool wasn't much help then and apparently not now.

One last question Midgetracer31,
Did you connect the 2 black flat 24 pin connectors together, one from the Navtool main cable the other from the screen module cable?

Thanks Elmer,
I looked up your second camera on Amazon and its no longer available at this time. I guess i'll go with the Pyle.
Everyone should get together and write a manual and charge Navtool royalties!

Migetracer31,
I'm going to program my unit tomorrow after I look up the correct setting that were noted in past threads.

yes the flat black connector coming from radio module and screen module harness's plugs into the black flat connector from the NavTool module.

I am having a HORRIBLE time getting the white connector unplugged from the back side of the BCM. Is there any kind of clip or lock that keeps it from coming apart. I’m frustrated as hell with this thing. Some advice would be very much appreciated.
Thanks in advance.

It does have a squeeze lock. Look at the 2 grey plugs that came with the kit and you might get a clue how the plug releases. I took off the BCM from on top of the radio unit and had a straight shot at the grey plug.

Nope, not me. BUT! I'm pretty dumb and work on live 110 in the house. 220 and power gets cut.

Roger did you take the alum shield loose from the floor, then you can slightly pull up on the BCM and reach behind and pull the radio module out from behind and get to the connector easily

Ok, I still need a little help:-(. I got this monster installed. The problem I have is this. When I put it in reverse the screen goes balck(no signal). When I put it in drive the rear camera shows up on the screen. I f I switch the front camera video feed to the rear camera input cable the front camera comes on in reverse and the rear camera comes on when shifting to drive. What have I got crossed up?
