It had been a wonderful experience owning my 1st vette, base stingray for the last 18mths and really liked the car but i traded it in for a M2 Competition this week. The M2 is more refined power and really liked the fun factor and driving the manual , clutch and transmission is very nice. The vette was raw power and the V8 rumble and ride quality with MSRC was great. I do miss the stingray and lastly awesome looking car, very close to a ferrari from a distance.
Thanks for all your support and answering all my questions, this forum is awesome and i will continue visiting it. The other part is getting to meet my buddy "devnull" , met him at the dealership when i was taking my stingray delivery and what an awesome guy, he helped me so many times installing all my mods at his garage and answering all my newbie questions. We will be in touch bud.
I love the BMW have two of them now also a 6m conv & the wifey only has a 340I. But I still love my corvette conv with a A/A TI all forged motor with 800 plus rwhp in the car. The only thing I hate about the BMW is they will not hold their value at all per say. So will be keeping these two but love them both.
Man good luck & know you will love the BMW for sure, you can always come back over. Robert
Very nice car, but get rid of it before the warranty is up.
exactly...,had a buddy that always gave me crap about wanting a vette when I could get a bmw...he ended up getting one and alll I heard was how many time he had to bring it in bc something broke on it....he eventually got rid of it and moved to a Tesla
No I don't keep my cars long, in the event if I keep it more than the B2B warranty I will buy aftermarket warranty
The reliability for Bmw is same as any German car, they are expensive to maintain

defect can happen to any car , its just bad luck doesn't generally mean the brand is bad.

I didn’t say the brand is bad but there are certain brands known for being much more prone to multiple service issues vs others that are bulletproof....bmw is more skewed towards the former rather than the later...
nice cars though esp higher end ones and awesome performance....for me the cost to benefit isn’t there but to Esch there own and I can certainly understand why someone would want one

Agree its not as bulletproof as a lexus, Toyota and Honda but fun to drive. This M2 is the best fun loving bmw i had till date. In the vette I hardly revved till 6k as would have crossed 100 mph because of the insane power but this one its easy to rev till 7k rpm because of the little less power, throttle response is better in the M2
