I will start out by saying I love my 2015 Z51. But Gm lack of quality and lack of owning up to their crap quality. Fiest my is coming apart the leather is lifting all across and down the dash towards the glove compartment. The transparent top looks terrible part my fault but caused by the clear coat peeling up on the drivers side and my failed attempt to repair it and the passenger side is like a spider web. The very top of the windshield its delaminating. Finally today the radio starts messing up It just froze no music cant change stations cant adjust the volume cant turn it off and the screen stayed on even after getting out of the car. Went back 5 minutes later and back to working. I have 87+k miles so no warranty. I never owned a car this expensive and sure didnt expect all this crap. This car was $76k when new. With problems on my 08 Suburban of the dash cracking even the replacement cracked without any support from GM. I am losing my desire to own GM products I have had Toyotas that had continuing problems, Honda Accord with rusting fenders, replaced by Honda, and using as much oil as gas at 60k miles. Sorry for the long rant. I will continue to drive and enjoy the drive in the Corvette but not be happy with the other things
Wow you guys must be joking. To bash this guy because his vette is falling apart and doesn’t even have 100,000 miles is absurd. When it happens to your cars I’m sure you’ll be whining too.
I read some of these posts about how bad corvettes are in terms of quality etc. I have a 2014 vette, and have no issues with it. My guess is that when I read posts like this, it represents a very samll percentage of owners...these posts don't apply to everyone as the OP would like people to think. If you don't like your corvette for one reason or another, get rid of it and move on to something else.

I was only speaking of my issues not anybody elses problems. I started by saying I like my car and enjoy driving which I plan to keep on doing its just sad that GM cant do a better job. I have a manual so at least I didnt have to deal with the A8 problems and an unofficial poll here on the forum last I saw 30% of 3lt owners had some sort of dash problem
My 2014 has the spider web / crazing issue on the transparent top along with minor interior and exterior quality issues. My radio had similar issues... turned out to be a lose connection. Can't complain given the performance to dollar ratio but it does have some evidence of GM cheapness about it. Buying used takes the sting of the cost away.
All you note are well documented and would have surfaced doing vehicle research... especially the dash and delaminating windshield. I'm truly sorry to read of your problems but buying a high-mileage used car, especially high-performance/sports cars, carries potentially high-risks unless the buyer knows the particular car/owner very well and/or does due diligence throughout the buying process. There are much better examples and ones that do not carry the same risks, irrespective of the whatever any of them cost new. So, given that you seem to say you are stuck with it, drive it into the ground and move on, being more careful (and, hopefully with better luck) next time.
It has high mileage true and it had 50k miles when I bought it and I have added over 37k miles to that in 3 years . But these problems are not caused by high mileage or abuse. The engine etc perform flawlessly. these are quality problems. When I bought it 3 years ago none of these things were present. The car was in excellent condition both mechanically and cosmetically. I did check its service history but did not see anything about the dash and other problems thats my fault but that doesnt let GM off the hook for these problems When the time comes to replace it it will be another C7 but most likely a 2LT but I know more now so my choice wont have these problems

You bought a used car and now after three years of ownership you are upset that it has issues with 87,000 on the clock?
Did you really pay $76k for a Corvette with 50,000 miles on it?

No that was the price brand new, I paid almost half that in 2017 I have had Corvettes with many more miles on them than this and none of the cosmetic problems this one is having. My 96 with the transparent top looked 100x better than this transparent top and it was 16 years old when I bought it
Sorry to hear of your problems, sounds like you have horrible luck with cars in general (Honda, Toyota). I've owned dozens of Corvettes over the last 44 years and don't remember any problems to speak of on any of them.
Sounds like you really love Corvettes, might consider trading it on another. Can't imagine you would get 2 lemons in a row.

Im not going to get rid of it for these problems. Mechanically great. The paint on 99% of the car is shiny and in excellent condition . I always get thumbs up from many people. The front has some stone chips but I drive all the time. Plus its Daytona Sunrise Orange hard to find another equipped as nice . I have owned many GM products without issues except for the dash on the Suburban. I have had an 88, 96,08 and now the 15. loved them all
Anybody who thinks 100,000 miles is a high mileage vehicle knows nothing about automobiles and has a lose screw in the head. Never had an automobile with less than 300,000 before I got rid of it.
Some have commented on high miles and older car -> expect problems. While that is true, some of the problems the OP has sighted should never happen in the first 20 years of ownership. And on the other side, we own unique cars. From a feature standpoint a steal but average overall quality at best and Chevy dealerships to deal with. So try to find another car that compares and is high quality -> $$$$$$.
I Like my 2 corvettes but agree GM has outsourced some components that are lacking at best and I would bet they are foreign made and do not last. I assume all car companies do the same so there you go.
I'm thankful that there is a forum such as this that allows you a place to come in and vent your frustrations. We're all in this together and we're here for you.
