Cheaper than a tune and gives you maximum adjustability. The TC is a no-brainer for what you describe. TB would be the second purchase but unlikely as the TC does more than enough. No one regrets this purchase as comments attest. Get it.
There is another "approach" to this issue since all C7s do not have it, and that relates to an adjustment at the accelerator itself. There is a rather extensive thread here to that effect. All the best.

Can someone find this article on the adjustment to the accelerator, I can't locate it ?
Thank you,
Rich

Since Soler uses a GM TB as it's base, it's additionally difficult to know it's there unless the issue is TB related. Unless the intake comes off they will never know about it. As has been mentioned doing a TB swap should take only about 30 minutes tops. Just keep your stock TB as I did. IMHO, YMMV...

what is the cleanest install of the controller?..is there a way to put the TC behind the infotainment screen?
"Cleanest" is somewhat subjective. For me, it was installing the controller out of sight but easy to access, and without any permanent modification (e.g., drilling holes). The console provided such a location...

i like that set-up. i assume you had to pull the console to run the wire?

Sort of - for this job it was what I'd call a partial removal, which was a little easier than the complete removal required when I installed my MGW shifter. Neither job was difficult, but I recommend taking your time to ensure no damage and easy reassembly. I found the TC's stock/original wiring just long enough to install this way, but I believe you can extend it, if needed.

installed perfect, just like your pic. module fit neatly behind the carpet and the cable was just long enough. just had to peel back the trim an 1/8".
I found just changing the air filter fixed a lot of my throttle hesitation on my Z06. I got the solar throttle body recently and for me the initial acceleration now feels more fluid and predictable. It makes cruising around much more enjoyable. On track I noticed no difference in the performance overall, but I'm still working on improving my technique on track so the onus is more on the driver.
The throttle controller only provides more throttle opening per input for the perspective of feeling like a rocket. Airflow is still stock and will perform identical metrics when pushed.
The ported throttle body and cold air intake and high flow filter will allow more air volume in per throttle input as well and actually gain you some hp and theottle response. You will have to readjust the controller to your preference after installing.
