Default seat memory question

Hello,
I know this has been covered quite a bit but my issue hasn't been mentioned that I could find. I have a 2014 2LT with the power seat memory. I was finally able to figure out how to program it and it works as follows. When I open the door to get out it pulls everything back for ease of exit. When I open the door to get in everything goes to the driving position before I get in the vehicle which is the opposite of what you want. There is no option within the settings for when I want everything to adjust just an on and off, I would expect it to adjust to driving setting when I turn the car on like my Chevy high country pickup. is this normal? Or am I missing something, thank you in advance
Tim

My memory positions do not change until I press the Start button (which does not start my M7).

^^ This. Just go into settings and have it change to the driving position when you press the start button. You probably have them both setup for door open. It's in settings, just gotta dig around a little. I set mine up last summer and it works fine.

I just looked through settings and I think it might be a software revision thing because I don't have that capability here's three photo's showing going into Comfort and Convenience, then Auto memory recall, then inside Auto Memory Recall which only has an on and off

If you have a 2014 M7 the post noted above is your answer. Probably cost you an hour's labor at the dealer.

Or see post #4 in this thread. Same answer, just before and after pics:

Default Seat memory operation by model year

Seat memory operation is slightly different for early model years:

Thanks for all that info. I have a 2014 2LT car but honestly I have never used the memory function on the car. I just set it and forget it.

Had TSB done to my 2014 M7 in March 2024.
Dealer charged $135. Worth every penny.
Especially with the round steering wheel.
That was a dealer in West Point, Va.

I finally got a pic of this in my car. This is what it should look like with the software update.
