From your fan club behind the starting line fence.

Thx Steve! You'll have to dust off your racing gloves one of these weekends.
Sorry I haven't had a lot of time to chat. Trying to sort this out and always short on time.
That's ok it's my age but I would still like a T shirt let know how much.

Thanks bro! Yea I saw I squeaked by. We'll both be pushing for 9s before the end of the season here. 10.2 @ 120 and 10.1 at 140 tells me I have some work to do in the trans dept.
Great to have cool weather but humidity though the roof!! These C7's are unreal, Ive run quite a few Chevrolets since 1967 at Richmond, never had a stock car that runs as good and draws as many admirers.

Hey wFarmer.....what did I tell you "don't be surprise whereas you do better with the stock tires". That moves you up to 2nd place.
Greetings to all C7 fast list races - your efforts are amazing. I have an anniversary 427 for cruising with my wife but want to get into the C7 drag racing. Being old school I thought the manual tranny would be the only way to go but now with both the 6-speed and 8-speed automatics I am wrong as well as impressed. I really think everyone is doing great with the different classes with my greatest interest in Bone Stock as it represents the corvette Chevrolet built.
So, as a newbie I have a few questions: Back in the day the NHRA had classes for both manual and auto - should this be a new class? Something for the Forum to debate.
Also, with (my limited) technical knowledge it seems the new 8-speed auto with the Z-51 rear end ratio may be the ultimate Bone Stock Racer. Thus the question: should there be two automatic classes?
Please realize I find the racing absolute a thrill to read as well as watch!! Not trying to interfere with a great racing effort, just curious. Hopefully everyone understands, each year (almost) Corvette develops an even better/faster car - so do we just keep buying a new car or have multiple racing classes? I must be honest, wanting and purchasing more than one corvette at a time is beyond my means! Having one great Corvette is doable. Thanks for reading and providing any feedback!!

These days the autos are king of the strip due to the lightening fast shifts. If you want an easy racer, I agree the new 8 spd Z51 would be your choice! They're already turning mid 11s bone stock.
2014 Z-51
E.T: 11.429@119.81
Tires: M/T Drag Radials
Performance mods: None
Category: Bone stock except none-stock tires
Track: Virginia Motorsports Park

Car is responding to changing weather, can't wait to see what it will do in good morning air, during C7 track rental at Budds Creek on Nov 14th!!
2000 rpm launch,traction control off
This is what happens with Stabilitrack shut off ,40 lbs of air in front tires ,from the track last week ,a damp road and an *** hole (me)at the wheel !
Hope I can get it back in time for Atco track rental Nov 10.
Omg glass you're ok though. Be safe..
Last couple times at the track having so much wheel spin I just left traction control and stability on..
