There is so much more than just worrying about oil in the intake. A catch can is going to catch all of the contaminants and combustion by products that the engine produces. Its literally goop soup that the can is collecting.
Add me to the list of "I drained my intake." Looked to me that all the liquid oil was from the dry sump canister burp line. There was a tablespoon sitting at the bottom of the intake tube elbow and the pod the burp line attaches to was completely full (I watched where oil was dumping from).
I have about 1800 miles on mine, followed the 500 mile break in completely, and not a drop of oil was added to the factory fill. When warm, the oil level was at the top of the full line. My bursts of enthusiasm are typically brief - in a straight line, but I would not call it aggressive driving.
But I do use the rev match all the time, and love the NPP downshift sound...
Question: Could very frequent engine braking make the PCV or burp line symptoms worse?
