Default Lash Cap

Is there a write up or how to on the Lash cap install. Looks pretty straight forward but it would be nice to have a reference with the needed parts before I start.
Thanks

You can use this article as a guide for installing the lash cap since all the same steps are required:

Sean, I did another How-To. Can you add that to the master list please?

Thanks!

Sure thing! This is so much more 'fun' on a Z51 having to jam a small one in over in the fender wall. Already had two in a row fail on me - maybe just bad luck or too much heat.

Good info for non-Z51s with meth, though.

Someone had posted a good spreader tool to use when replacing the front and rear pads on a 2015 ZO6. Can't find the post - any recommendations?

The ":How to upgrade Base C7 brakes to Z51 brakes" link takes you the lowering the C7, not the correct info

Hmm, I keep having this issue with some of the links. I have the master file stored in a Notepad++ document. I'll make sure it's all correct and re-copy/paste. Thanks for the heads-up!

Thanks, bud - all fixed up now. It was correct on the General section thread, but I forget to update those both simultaneously, and there was a code error on the last update.

Cajun, I kept it separate from the DIYs since it was my own thread and I didn't want to self-promote, or cause any liability issues.

Fuel and airbags I generally won't touch or give instructions on for liability reasons, but this one isn't bad.

Thanks, Ant. I'll add that in - it should be very useful for many here, as the instructions (while sufficient) are certainly helped out by this detailed write-up.

Where is this posted? It was about removing the upper interior windshield trim. I can't seem to find this info. Thanks!

Nobody has posted the instruction as there is too much that can go wrong doing it yourself. Too much legal concern for the poster. Trust me, when you see it, you will be sick. In short, it requires you to completely drop the engine cradle to get the oil pan and oil pump on and off.

Hi Theta,

I want to install the new larger transmission oil cooler on my 2015 A8 Z51 but no one seems to be able to tell me how to top up the fluid level after the install to account for the increased capacity of about one extra quart. Do you have the GM recommended procedure for adding fluid to the proper level on the automatic?

Thanks,

Bill

Hi everyone, I am working on a 2016 Z06. I am looking for some instructions on how to remove the vents on the rear fender just above the rocker panel at the back of the door. I don't seen any screws nor do they seem to pop off with gentle pressure like they are held on by clips. Has anyone remove these? Thanks.

I've changed mine (Z51 to Z06) using this video. Its for a different product, but the procedure is exactly the same. Some will tell you its necessary to drop the entire rear fascia, but I can assure you that many have taken this short cut, and this video is by a professional body shop. If this video gets removed (I'm not sure if it complies) just Google the following "Install Corvette quarter panel vents" and look for the blue vette. Since you already have a Z06, I assume you are converting to carbon fiber?

I already have those off. I am trying to get the Z06 brake cooling intake vent off. The one just above the side skirts.
