Best headers for C7's
#21
As a whole, no we haven't had any big fitment issues. Off the top of my head the only complaint was on this board. It was an o2 bung that had some flashing or something in it that needed to be cleaned out. It would have been a few minute fix with a dremel. We have a thread around here, I could find for you of need be that shows where we installed them here on jack stands.
We designed the headers here and made changes to them here as well. They are just mass produced overseas

I had a post back in early 2014 that broke down all the headers. The ARH (long tube is the key) not only had 10+ more peak power than kooks and other top tier brands, it had nearly 50whp more HP throughout the powerband in the lower RPM ranges. Feel free to do a search on my past threads if you want the nuts and bolts to my decision making. I put down 472whp 480wtq with longtube ARH with E85 as my only mods. They are legit

Vengeance, LMR, ECS, RaceProven, Cunningham, Lashway, Redline, Tunetime, Slowhawk, many others.
I think we have just about every major area covered in the US if anyone would like to see/hear the results.
Formato just broke into the 9's with his C7Z in FL.
Thanks to all those that have chosen ARH.

This is good stuff! I appreciate the through feedback on that... I've seen your results on another thread, impressive! My only question, playing devils advocate is, how does their catted system compare to SW or others? I realize you're not the "manufacturer" but you seem well versed based on your own research. I live in Texas in an emissions tested county, therefore, it's paramount I get a quality system that'll keep my car on the road.
Good luck on your decision making!

Love my Kooks with the x-pipe. Was a perfect add to my ProCharger setup. If I had to do it over again, I'd do the same thing. Fiitment and the sound is wonderful.

That's a valid question, and i'm sorry to say that I don't know much about ARH catted system. I'm sure the restriction on the flow would be the same threshold for all other header vendors. That said, you might be able to find some type of flow chart on the manufacture websites.
Good luck on your decision making!

Hope you support a brand who makes the headers in the US, like ARH.
sure the american designed/Chinese crafted headers should work though.
I am not some guy who only buys american either, when buying expensive stuff i tend to buy European. but i feel better about buying exhaust parts from the US over china anyways.

Let me just say this... My wife, who claims half of (our) car said absolutely NO to Chinese parts of any kind. I laugh at that because it's my car, and she's not one to make my decisions for me, but, she's pretty adamant about that for some reason. Anyway, after reading all these posts from guys on here, it looks to me that ARH is the huge favorite among the C7 crowd. I certainly won't let costs become my sole decesion maker. I do appreciate everyone's replies and stats for using the product they like the best.

Yes sir! I have to admit, I'm very surprised that predominantly the Kooks and ARH got the majority of the vote... In fact, the ones I was considering the most (Stainless Works) didn't get any votes. How much power does your car make with your setup?

I'm at 600whp. I almost went with stainless works, but was more impressed with the the fitment of the Kooks. Was perfection and the sound is amazing. Good luck with whichever setup you go with!
