My certified scale...48.8-49 lbs.

Nice weight drop from the stockers 63 lbs.

So a total of 24 lbs. off the rear.
Good looking setup and nice weight savings!

I have same Forgestar F14's coming, but I was leaning towards the 335 Hoosier 18s since the wheel is 12" width.

Asides weight, any reason for the narrower 315s vs wider 335s? The OD looked good at 26.2" for the 335.

Thank you!

Your certified calculator is off. If your scale shows 14 lbs per side, that is 28 lbs of the back.

You are correct SIR! 28 lbs. total weight drop.

I had 12 lbs. stuck in my head for some reason.

They are a touch shorter so a slight bump in finish line rpm.
Cheap gear swap.

BTW....I grew up in Ritzville.

Could you weigh it so we can keep track of different set ups?

Total weight wheel and tire is 57.8 lbs. post 24 in this thread cites the weight of the rims alone at ~26 lbs. so that means the M/T tires are approx ~31.8 lbs.

Mickey Thompson specs (below) say the tires are approx ~33 lbs, so coming in at 31.8 lbs is pretty well spot on

Add this one to the list for the Stingray/Z51.
Went out in the garage and weighed these.
M/T 285/40/18 SS, probably 75-80% tread left.
Racestar Darkstar 10.5 X 18.
56.2 lbs.

I know.
Like I mentioned in another post, I was already committed to my set up.
Otherwise I would have tried the smaller set up on my stock Z06.

It will be interesting to see how many laps I can get out of the Hoosiers.

I would check with Jake at Vibe Motorsports.

He could probably get you into a 8-9 in. wide Forgestar rim.
It won't be a drag pack type. Still lighter than the Racestar or the stocker.
I'd use that Hoosier 245/40/18 for sure.

Hi drag racers,

I have a quick question. I'm not sure what kind of front tires you guys are using but I guess there is a significant difference in tire height between the front and the rear for drag packs. Does traction control or any electronics on the car go crazy?

My C6 auto calibrated when I installed the new tires. Now with C7Z, I'm trying to pick a streetable race tire and wanted to make sure that I can still keep the traction control on with the new set up.

Appreciate your input.

I took 2 passes and didn't have any issues with a 25 .75" tire in the rear.
