Yeah it is about a 90mm when Tony gets done with it but boy you can feel the difference and it takes away the about 95 percent of the off idle bog
with M7. I haven't noticed the issue on the A8 I think because the low gearing takes right off.

I'm hoping the Mamo PTB teamed with the Halltech intake with a Maggy TVS 2300 teamed with 2 inch ARH w/ Jethot coating.
Stuck on my Lt4 !
Goes good on the dyno Wednesday morning.

How does the ported TB work for an A8 LT1? A post above stated they didn’t notice a bog on the A8. Would this be a good first mod for an LT1 A8?

I’m waiting for some good weather before I order one.

It works just as well on an A8.....I have posted numerous times about this in my big TB thread but the bottom line is ALL the same perks apply.

The engine has no clue what trans its bolted to and this is in fact and engine specific mod so all the same gains and the same upsides from the swap are realized on A8 cars as well....the difference is the downsides of the stock unit is more masked without the left pedal involved but I have had many A8 guys that didnt even realize there was a problem get back to me telling me how blown away the were at the difference and that they love the new TB.

I offer a 30 day trial period.....don't think it was worth every penny send it back to me....but I know you wont if you install it on your vehicle and see what your pulling off versus what your installing and then feel the difference!

Cheers,
Tony

I assume forced induction cars will benefit the most from this....stock cars won't see anything will they?

Stock cars will see a benefit. The throttle response is improved.

It’s a ten-minute swap. Stock is on right

Question .
My buddy upgraded his LT4 TB he got from you to a 103 TB and he asked me if i want his.
Will LT4 TB work on my 2017 GS LT1? Since you said you port them differently.

This is not the actual picture of the one sent to me. The screws on the one sent to me are countersink also. The pic is what Katech sent to me to see the CNC work.

Reducing the shaft only helps flow at WOT or over 90% blade opening which is essentially WOT.....does nothing for all the part throttle and lag issues most folks want to change/upgrade their TB's for in the first place (that's all related to the housing bore shape and the lower throttle positions).

In fact I tell my customers the real reason to own this mod is all the improvements in drivability and part throttle and getting rid of the lag/bog right off idle. All of that is addressed by fixing/changing the housing bore and my housing bore is so well optimized it flows the same as the trimmed blade version fully open but flows a bunch more at all the part throttle positions most people have the issues with.

Same peak flow.....much better low and midlift flow....much more responsive at part throttle.

This is a good thread with actual flowbench data should you be inclined to read about more of the science and see actual flow figures attached. It took awhile to build the fixtures necessary to do this type of testing btw....all hand made and the testing takes some time as well
