Default NPP engine sound management question

When I try to change the tone of my exhaust on my 2014 Stingray and enter the infotainment center under settings, I enter the Engine Sound Management screen, but the drop down menu with the selections, ie sport, track etc, does not appear. Does anyone have any idea what is going on and how to correct it? Thanks

Do you have NPP? Try pulling fuse 42 for open exhaust 100% of the time. I believe 2014s had a different menu setup than later models but i could be wrong.

Yes, I have NPP. The menu used to pull down and I could select. I am currently stuck in "sport" mode.

NPP Fuse #41 (2014), #42 (2015 - 2018), #87 (2019).

The menu for sound management on 2014's was AUTO or OFF. AUTO _ Link to Drive mode. OFF = Track.

Fuse numbers / years listed above are correct.

Ron

Correct - and "auto" is basically Link-To-Drive mode where the exhaust sound is unique for Tour, Sport and Track modes.

This is most comprehensive NPP post I've found around here: https://www.corvetteforum.com/forums...ck-result.html

NPP Fuse #41 (2014), #42 (2015 - 2018), #87 (2019).
I do believe this is correct, but I have a second question. Does it matter if the engine is shut off or must it be running when you pull the fuse to get the full open exhaust affect?

Not sure about that. When I picked mine up at the dealer, first thing I did was to pull #42 on my '17.
I would just pull it while it's off.

The valves are powered closed they open when no power is applied. It takes about a second for them to close after start so you get a loud bark at start up.

Did what you suggested and just popped the hood and pulled fuse 42 out with my fingers. Started it up and just ran 50 miles. Works perfect, exhaust was open the entire way, accelerating or cruising and no codes, whatsoever. Just a little stronger sound, but not obsessive, in my book. My only other wish, which I believe is impossible unless I replace the system with an aftermarket system, I wish all 4 of the exhaust pipes breathed, especially in colder weather when you can see the exhaust. Oh well. I guess there's always something!
