Default Another one down :-(

2015 C7 Z06 fully loaded Z07 pkg. a little over 300miles very easy miles. Bone Stock.

I still don't have info on what went wrong. Car died on me in 4th gear. didn't notice any weird noises or anything before this happened. tried to start the car again and it wont turn. tried again wont turn, tried one last time and it turned very hard and slow with loud noises coming from the engine and it didn't start and seized up. Tow truck on the way.

I know for sure its engine related from the noise. Great oil level, oil pressure was fine not sure exactly when it died, but at idle and when I drove the car 30min before this happened it was good. Water temp was good too. couldn't get a water temp reading after the incident for some reason the gauge doesn't show it (maybe the car has to be running??)

This is a great car. can't beat the performance for the price. I love it. so no I am not making this up. frustrated for sure, but even if the engine is toast, I am fine **** happens and its a new car! the count is what 3 engines I believe here in the forum?? I don't think thats a lot statistically. I might be wrong. in any case, I am keeping the car no matter what the dealer tells me. I am in love with this car and have owned 8 vettes before this one.

hopefully though they fix it fast and it doesn't take a lot of down time.

Will update later. Thanks

Sorry to hear. If it is the engine are you going to have them replace it or ask for a new car?

Sounds like main bearings, after warm they tighten up if bad/worn. Hopefully your dealer & GM will take care of the issue and have you back on the road.

Who was your engine builder? Mine ZO7 is number 781, built by Brian Walker. 2200 miles so far.

But you wouldn't have that issue since you won't buy one.

Maybe the motor isn't blown and it could be something else; electrical...

WOW what an attitude. You will probably live to be at least 100.

If the engine is blown and I was GM I would be busting azz to get you back on the road asap.

Good luck with your repair.

Keep us posted.

Sorry to hear about your troubles. Stay positive and let GM do what they have to do to make it right. It is a truly amazing car and worth the wait. Good Luck.
