You're acting like the 2017+ cars are completely different from the 2015-2016 models. The only difference is the cooling between the cars.

I see your point regarding the fact that you still can't upgrade the cooling on the 2015-2016 cars and I think that is a valid point. But honestly, at the end of the day, it's the same car.

lol so is the 2012 C6 Z06 time irrelevant to all pre 2012 Z06's? What about Z06's without the Z07 package? What about for driver's who don't track their car and can't turn pro-level times even if they do track their car (pretty much all of us)? The whole point of the ring time is for bragging rights, so who cares if it's only with a model that has better cooling than its predecessor years, most cars have slight improvements each year in any event.

The point is if the 2017 time is good, no one with a 2015-2016 model has the same bragging rights. Without the 2017 cooling mods it is not the same car. GM should really wake up to this fact and bring out that upgrade package.

You mean the secondary cooler that has been available for many months and a number of us have already installed on our 15-16s? Or are you still holding your breath that you are going to get something for free....

cool pic.... was that in less than 7 minutes and change? If not guess it wouldn't matter since that's ALL IT TAKES FOR ANY C7Z TO GET AROUND THE RING.

you guys are too funny

It's your own fault. You always sneak in those unwarranted digs against the C7Z's what do you want?

actually any corvette owner and non-Corvette owning fan gets bragging rights if the 17 does an exceptional ring time! That's the problem with some of you haters, you see it as a my car vs c7 z06 competition instead of being happy for the brand at any advances it makes.

Don't take it personal. I am simply saying that 2015-2016 owners would be much happier if the upgrade package were available. I would think you would fall into this group but I could be wrong. Sounds like sour grapes to me.

It's just jealousy...he simply can't afford one.

After all this time, a Ring lap time for the Z06 has become something akin to a search for a Sasquatch...there is no finding it because it doesn't exist.

I am still interested in the C7Z manual in light of the overheating issues and lack of a Ring time.

What the ZL1 1LE proves is what the promise of the C7Z was at the Ring.
GM definitely should have addressed the LT4 cooling issues in R&D.

That seem to be all resolved in the Gen6 ZL1, bone stock. I still would not recommend pullying this new ZL1 if track days are intended.

At least you get it! It is the most track capable Corvette ever after all.
Also had "Ring" stickers plastered everywhere at the reveal.

Those have been banned by the 'Ring.

Too much of an unfair performance advantage.

As you likely know, I regard the spats as a clever design feature intended to prevent the knock-kneed look of the C6Z.

You call them clever, I call them cheap cost cutting.
Let see if they are "cleverly" on the new ZR1?
