Wow, what a silly thing to complain about. The spats are cheap cost cutting parts on a car you can't afford as is. On the other hand I bet the cheap *** C6 interior is fine by you.
Let's assume the ZR1 comes out sans spats and with a killer ring time. You won't buy it because you will not be able to afford that one either. You will wait until the C8 comes out and then you will buy a used C7.
The ZR1 "will" have a killer Ring time like the Camaro just did and god praying...no spats. It will also not go into "limp mode" I am almost certain. Maybe it can avoid a lawsuit as well unlike the C6Z and C7Z.
Mine could pop tomorrow but I dont give a rats ***, I didn't pay full rip like you and I have a 4 year GMPP extended warranty.
I don't think anybody is going to line up to buy a ZR1 unless you have bags of money you want to dispose of or you are a GM loyalist to the core. Think of it this way. GM let down the C6Z guys and the C7Z guys. Their integrity is gone. Would you really trust them with all their marketing crap about the ZR1 ?

I disagree and expect the car to sell as well as the C6 ZR did. Especially if it manages to post a sub 7 ring time. Nothing else is even remotely close to the performance/price quotient.
I'm certainly not a GM apologist, but find me a brand that hasn't let customers down. As a consumer of brands such as McLaren, Porsche, Range Rover, BMW, MB, etc., I can tell you that none have been perfect. In fact, I had to ship my McLaren from MN to AZ for a paint correction issue not covered under warranty...despite being under warranty. Cost me $5K

The picture is from 2 days ago and it was right near the Ring (the photographer lives near the Ring and has taken tons of shots of cars currently there).
The picture was posted 2 days ago (at the time of your post) but when was it taken? That same car was spotted there in April
Its still a Chevy however. If they price it ridiculously you won't find cross shoppers from the prestige brands.
That's strange cause I still own a 612 Scaglietti (bought new)...used to own a 360, 911 Speedster, RS America, Ruf Turbo as well...and I just bought my first Vette in Aug. 2015 (C7Z). I guess NO ONE cross shops "exotics" with lowely Chevy products.
You wanna know something...the Vette is WAY more fun than the prancing horse. I've driven the 458 as well, and the C7Z is loads more fun there as well.
Some people can appreciate cars for being cars and not care about what the badge says...You might wanna try it sometime

Read what I said. "If they price it RIDICULOUSLY." I stand by that statement. A Corvette priced like a Ferrari will not sell to anyone but the GM faithful.
You have to read between the lines. I actually find sam90lx quite entertaining. You guys getting worked up about his posts have to lighten up a bit.
Seriously....he throws the bait out there and they eat it up, repeatedly...over and over again.
It's totally comical. Some of these guys would break out in tears with some of the ball busters in my part of town.

I agree here with the exception that I think the ACR will be direct comp for the new ZR1 in all aspects of performance.
