Any particular reason you guys went with Stoptech instead of AP or Alcon? If I didn't already have a BBK on my car, I would certainly consider these, but am also really happy with the AP radi-cal set up.

Lou might follow up and say I'm crazy but I think he liked the AP's on the white car, but wanted to go with something that he'd beaten the heck out of on a racetrack and knew from experience would hold up.

I got to check these out today. They are light for how huge they are.
You cant really tell form the picture above but they are vented all the way through around the pistons which I though was a cool (I made a pun) feature.

Also, got to check out the car that's going to Nürburgring... looking bad azz.

Cant wait to see how they perform. Dave at Stoptech showed me pics of these calipers before unveiling at SEMA last year. The pads are 1” thick, durable enough for some 24 hrs racing events!

Same. StopTech Kit, the lightweight bucket seats and anodizing splitter braces/wing uprights are the last things to be done to the car before it leaves in 3 weeks. Lou's first track day in the car is end of August so we'll have some feedback before the timed run in October.

Update!

We have four kits in final inspection/assembly that will be in stock shortly. We will give preferred pricing to these first four purchasers and the next production run will not occur until after we go for a time at Nurburgring in October.

Be first, save $ and skip the wait. Or just sit in the middle of the pack and follow the leaders

Give us a call at 972-429-1963 for more info, or to order

Knowing you will not quote product prices, which is more expensive, these or the APs you have on the other car, and by how much?

Retail will be less than the AP kit by about the cost of a set of rear pads.

Saw a significant improvement in pad life based on Nurburgring. PFC 13 compound pads had 75% left when the car was loaded up. Lou said the kit was amazing on track.

What is the weight difference on this Stoptech kit vs the j57 and j56 Brake’s?

I have all the weights written down somewhere. I'll have to go through old notebooks to find them. I remember that the front caliper & bracket was 8.9lbs.

Were you able to find your weight data? I'm guessing the rotors might be a bit heavy due to wide annulus, but it'd definitely be worth it for extra braking capabilities. What pads and replacement rotors does this kit use? If we were to get the kit, it'd be very important to be able to find replacement parts for cheap. The pad is mentioned as 1" thick; is it the same ST60 pad, but just 1" thick? I can also find the 380x32 wide annulus StopTech rotors. Here's hoping these would be what this kit comes with, and nothing custom : )

Edit
380x32 Wide Annulus

Right: https://www.zeckhausen.com/catalog/p...ducts_id=17055

These are MSRP; you can often find them for cheaper.

I never found the data but the car is sitting on our showroom right now, I'll get a rotor pulled off and do some weights when I get a free lift in the next week or so.

Those are the correct replacement rotors. The pads are actually a brembo endurance pad shape so it's readily available. We ran PFC 7799.13.25.44 front and PFC 0345.11.17.44 rear.

Those are the most expensive pads I've ever seen!

So, from the part numbers, looks like the rears are 17mm thick; good to know.

Yeah it caught me off guard when I ordered them. I think we have some back up Cobalts around here somewhere I'll have to see what the part numbers on those are.
