I don't have a date yet. They want to do the first couple of cars in Connecticut first before starting on cars in CA. The first cars in Connecticut are underway now. I was also told that my car is near the top of the list in CA.

My car patiently waiting at Callaway:
I see your car is new, who did you order your Callaway build through?

I was supposed to be first in line but apparently they will train Canadian dealers to do the builds in Canada later on in the summer . Looks like I should be asking for my deist back because our dealers don’t even know who Callaway was 😂

In the C6 and C7 era, one dealer group did convert cars and trucks for Callaway. Callaway, as I understood, sent one of their techs to do a final QC to ensure all was proper. The issue is a Canadian government thing.

Sorry to hear that. Hopefully Callaway can recommend some Canadian dealers for you if you decide to stick with Callaway.

that was my lousy attempt at a joke … Callaway used a Montreal designer back in the day.
I guess their word isn’t worth much , I will wait for the first delivery to proceed … and to think about how many people drooled over my C6 Supernatural build , up here in the North , while I explained it to them and how much Callaway meant for Corvette .

Paul Deutschman has been their designer since 1988 when he drafted the Callaway AeroBody for the 254.76 MPH Callaway Sledgehammer Corvette
Timeless beauty:

What good would come from trying to send a brand new Callaway Corvette across the border, only to have it intercepted by the Canadian government? That's a Canadian government issue, not a Callaway issue. Sounds like they have a resolve or workaround. For your C6 Supernatural, that was presumably before the canadian crackdown. You can thank Transport Canada and their regs.

I drove my C6 Callaway right through the border after my build with no problems . I intended to do the same again with my C8 . I bring them my C8 , they do the work , get paid and I drive it home …I don’t see the problem .

there’s a big difference between having a car drop shipped to Connecticut and then shipped to Canada, and what you described. It shouldn’t be a problem for you to take your car that was delivered in Canada, drive it down, pretend like you did a bunch of sightseeing for a week and then drive back across the border. Nobody would be the wiser.
The trouble comes in on brand new vehicles. If you’re close the border, just take the drive like you did before, easy. Good luck.

that’s what I told them I would do but they don’t agree … hopefully they change their mind and honour their word … I sure wish the legend was still here as I would think he would make sure things were done right

MacMulkin for me as well, it was very easy as you said. My torch red C8 should be in Old Lyme, CT. by next month, dropped shipped from Bowling Green.
I'll be going from a stock C4 (no longer own) to a Callaway Supercharged C8!
This will be interesting to say the least. CAN'T WAIT!!

Just curious .....how much is the standard setup? Thanks
Good luck to everyone who waited this out and hung in there. You guys are getting close now. I can't shake the nagging suspicion that both these cars and the Lingenfelter are going to get left in the proverbial dust by tuners that will have full access to the ECU through HPTuners. Make no mistake, I'm sure the Callaway kit will be robust and as reliable as any aftermarket conversion could be but I think they'll be plagued by the same odd behaviors of fuel cut and suffer poor performance as a result. The numbers tell the tale already as they are touting trap speeds below 130mph right off the top. A properly tuned C8 with turbos or a blower would rape one of these. Funny how a tuner becomes 'establishment' and then becomes a victim of its own success. GM clearly did not give Callaway full access to the ECU and they're going to suffer for it. The circle of life...
