I was hoping that we'd get an update today. It's usually been on the second Friday of the month.

Yeah I’m just waiting to hear details before deposit mainly because I already have akrapovic exhaust and carbon fiber wheels so I don’t really care to have a package that includes everything. I just want the supercharger kit and warranty.

Hopefully @Callaway Cars can list the details on this soon. I too, hoped for news last week.

After talking with Callaway last week, I was thinking that we'd have heard something by now.

Got the newsletter. Nothing really to say except pricing and details should be coming with the next newsletter.

Yep, and Production has slid a bit from 1st Qtr to early 2nd Qtr. But a bit of a tease, without specifics, from the newsletter:

"On a final note for this round - the driving experience of this Callaway Supercharged C8 is incredible. The performance experience is a given. It must perform - and it does. But, the unique sound of this twin-screw supercharger, when both accelerating and when the DCT is downshifting is intoxicating - you just want more! And at the end of the day, that's what we're all striving for - an experience like no other. This car delivers that."

I'd love to see and hear a 700 WHP system from them, but it's highly unlikely that they would compete with the Z06. We'll see...

You and me both. I was originally afraid they would play it too conservative. Lingenfelter and Procharger both seem comfortable with that power range. So it will be interesting to see how Callaway feels.

Their driving impression sure sounds great. Hopefully things come together so that they can provide details next time. Putting this package together, especially since it is going to be emissions legal, has to be very complex.

I think you hit on one of the key distinguishers. Emissions Compliance. That's not an easy thing, and it's certainly a thing these days, with it potentially becoming more significant in future years.

Of course, emissions compliance aside, having a real powertrain warranty is something I've enjoyed from Callaway. None of the others have something like it, especially in conjunction or unison with the GM coverage which remains in effect. The o.e. level of execution is another virtue, of course. And while anyone might get lucky and do something nice once, it's their repetition of a series which means down the road, the cars have value at time of resale.

I like the message in the emailed newsletter. It's got me excited. Not sure I will sleep much until the full release. Need more than the tease

Supercharged C8 Program News

Final production tooling and part production in process!

Exciting times at Callaway Cars. Our engineering department is finalizing package content details, power validation and vehicle performance testing. We’re pleased to report that all parameters are meeting or exceeding initial projections. As with every Callaway product, we strive to provide the best engineered solution for your Corvette - balancing power, performance, and reliability. This product is no exception - conforming with our mission statement of creating Powerfully Engineered Automobiles.

Speaking to timing - vehicle production is scheduled to commence early Q2, past our initial estimate, but well worth the wait! Accommodating the complexity of this program is no mean feat. Your enthusiasm and commitment to this project and end product are truly appreciated by the men and women of Callaway Cars. It's great to receive all of your messages with so many great comments and questions. Your feedback drives us to create ever-improved products and experiences for you, our owners.

Final pricing will be announced exclusively to this group, along with a request for order confirmation, in our next update. We’ll also be requesting confirmation of option selections and informing you of schedule timing.

On a final note for this round - the driving experience of this Callaway Supercharged C8 is incredible. The performance experience is a given. It must perform - and it does. But, the unique sound of this twin-screw supercharger, when both accelerating and when the DCT is downshifting is intoxicating - you just want more! And at the end of the day, that's what we're all striving for - an experience like no other. This car delivers that.

Thank you all again for being part of this program. We can’t wait to hear your reports and see your faces after first experiencing your Callaway Supercharged C8!

Two weeks ago, when I spoke to Callaway, they told me that the numbers don't really mean anything. When I originally signed up, I was told that I was number 52 CA. Two weeks ago, I was told that was number 71 CA.

I really wish they would release the details. Everytime I check I’m told they will in a few days. I want to do the deposit but I just want the rest of the details before I do so—predominately pricing and how the packages will work for people that do not want wheels, exhaust, etc. I already have all of that.
