Plants ramped up to crank them out. We’re talking 10 more months. Not only will some dealers have them in stock there will be used cars available. And that’s with a strong economy. Economy goes south......yea tons of cars.

Yes, this is correct. Every dealer was forced to order 10 cars for the lot and these will be the first one's shipped. They also have to be sold at MSRP or under. My dealer is selling me one of his at $100 over invoice. I'm pumped.

Allocations are for Calendar Year, not Model Year. Yes, they have quite a few allocations based on their initial guide numbers, but allocations that have been distributed are way behind the pace to meet the initial total number. New guide numbers are supposed to be released to dealers in March.

2020's won't be built for 10 more months. 2021 Production starts 9/1. Supposedly last 2020 consensus is April.

At 40 cars per month, that dealer now needs 40 more orders to fill out his 4th qtr. And 40 more by Jan and 40 more by Feb and...... Same math but less with money. I'd be surprised not to see dealer inventory by spring 2021. If not sooner. Once the rush and flush is over, its back to business as usual for dealers. Hustlin' a buck.
World car, and GM has made no announcement of other markets yet. It could skip Europe entirely, but thats 500 million people and way too tempting for any manufacturer. This car was planned way before tariffs and particulate filters. We simply dont know anymore with governments saying all ICE engines must go by 2030. China is still not addressed. This car could have been the biggest sports car hit in the entire history of GM. We simply dont know anymore.
