Drove the car two days ago for about 1.5 hours, until it was dark outside. Went out the next day to wash the car. Tried to start the car and the battery was dead...plugged in the battery tender and it showed low battery. This morning went out, showed full charge, car started right up. Drove for about 30 minutes pulled back into the garage and turned the car off. From the time it started I started looking for things that might have been left on that could have cause the battery to die, can't find anything. I am guessing it is something simple that I did wrong but who know....
Thoughts?
Here's my guess. You've had the car for months and then you drive the car for "1.5 hours" at a whopping 30 mph and 2000 rpm max. "Stuff" in the car is constantly using current from the battery regardless if it's on or off. When you don't drive the car and don't use a tender you end up with a dead battery.

If that is how I drove it, it would make sense. Or if it had sat for a couple weeks, that would make sense. But I was on the open interstate for about half the time I was driving.
Probably just some fluke thing.
However, I am now going to plug in the tender when I pull it in the garage from now on. Even if it won't be sitting for a day or so.
I guess if I would have shard the details of my drive it would help explain my post.
I do appreciate the thoughts.

Please try to keep this thread related to actual mechanical, electrical, or quality problems rather than likes or dislikes regarding design or preferences.
l have owned Corvettes since 1974 and currently have my 2017 Grandsport for sale (#8) as I order #9. I was part of the team that developed the Cadillac XTR and the C6. After reading through all this thread I am still ordering a C8. Through all of the Corvettes I owned I have never experienced the problems listed here. These are cars and problems occur but that doesn’t distract from mystic and the thrill of owning one.

Well duh... you're GM indoctrinated. Go buy a few European cars and see the other end of the spectrum. I'll even add the Koreans there with Hyundai and Kia's (I can't even believe I wrote that, but it's true), having very high quality as per JD Power only next to Porsche. Some of these C8 problems are just bad basic "blocking and tackling" and are really not tolerable in today's manufacturing standards by any means.

I agree...I'm putting my c7 up for sale in the spring and gonna pul the trigger on the new c8.....with all the mfg delays over the past year...I'm sure there will be plenty of bugs in this new generation hot rod...so bring on the negative comments
I drove it about 60 miles yesterday & this morning the frunk will not open. I tried the key fob, inside the door, & the button in the bumper without any luck. I started it and let it run for 15 minutes and still nothing. When I push the cabin button I hear a clicking noise coming from behind the glove box. There's also a red message about the frunk being open. I tried pushing down on it but nothing as it is closed all the way.
Any ideas? I don't want this thing flying open on the way to the dealership for them to take a look.
I'd try the manual release - It's supposed to be a cable behind the brake pedal.
Thanks I forgot about that. I did it a few times & it cleared the message but I still can't open with any of the buttons. And as soon as I try the message returns.
Frunk actuator failure, there have been several reported. Easy fix, but a pain to have to take it in to the dealer.
In order to not have your speed restricted, you need to open it manually with the cable and then close it again. If you try to open it electronically you will again be speed restricted until you open it (manually) and close it again.

Did you get into valet mode somehow? If this is the case, glovebox and center console would also be locked.
My 2020 Z51, now with 60 miles on it, has a slight engine miss at idle. You can feel it in the seat cushion and see it with a door open, watching the window glass shake slightly. Is this a normal result of the cam working ?

Geezz... I kinda feel like I'm prematurely wearing my 2021 HTC out. Had it a month now and have 1100 miles on it. No problems at this point. I wonder if the engine miss you're describing is being caused by a weak/broken valve spring? What's your VIN?
