The Best of Corvette for Corvette Enthusiasts

The memo cautions dealers that June’s allocation is only estimated at this time due to the uncertainty in the supply chain.
The good news for those with orders is that production of the 2021 Corvette models will continue into August now as we believe that Chevy is once again trying to build as many Corvettes as possible before the model year ends.
According to the memo sent to dealers, production will go through the week of August 9th, although that date doesn’t appear to be set in stone.
A previous memo from Chevrolet suggested 2022 model year orders would start in July so the first models off the assembly line could be available around Labor Day which this year falls on September 6th.
Chevrolet has produced around 13,320 Corvettes so far for the 2021 model year. Last week the plant averaged 180 per day and produced 900 for the week.
As we are at the mercy of the supply chain, there could still be additional adjustments made during those final weeks. Next week I believe dealers will receive any constraints for the May orders, so stay tuned."
Imagine a C8, outside of warranty, have an electrical short!
I hope GMC focuses, and decides if this is a luxury car, or a performance car. I don't see any lost customers if there is no memory seat function!

Does the C8 show the Brake System Warning Light when the brake pads are worn (I checked the 2021 owner manual and there is no mention of this). My current car has a "sensor" to tell me if the pads are worn out. It is an electrical circuit loop that gets cut through that breaks the electrical loop thus turning on the generic warning "Brake System Warning". This happened once and I took the sensor and soldered the connection back together without embedding it next to the pad so it never turns on again. I know how to check and replace my brake pads on my own, thank you. What was wrong with the old squealing feeler that was used in the past?
All these warning do-dads compensate for the incompetents and add significant weight to the car. Our family's' '56 Chev Belair weighed in at 3050 lbs. The C8 is a pig in comparison at ~3366 lbs (it should be sub 2900 lbs).
Fixing issues necessary for drivability will become a nightmare with this thing when out of warranty. When the car gets old, letting a few non-drivability functions slide like cruise control, fold in mirrors, front facing cameras, heated seats/steering wheel, etc. will happen since fixing these things will get very costly.
GM should be selling a true performance car version as you allude to with low weight and minimal bells and whistles like seats and pedals.
