As you said “ I’ll bet my life “. we are still waiting, please do the honorable thing, as most here like the side intake treatment. You do know what people that don’t pay their bets are called . If you can’t back up your bet, why would anyone continue to listen to you. All you have is BS.

Melting Slicks
I think I and others already have mentioned that there's a factory option for the side spears and other trim to be body color: $995. There's also a grey option at the same price. Also, it would be pretty easy for any competent body shop to pop the spears off and respray only them in body color, probably for less cost.
You can see what this would look like on the Chevy web site in the configurator.
This seems to me like a tempest in a teapot.

You're repeating what someone else already posted.
With that said, it is the only reasonable explanation for that cheap tacked on plastic.
Oh ya?
How many other mid engine car have side intakes exactly like the original design?
How many added cheap tacked on plastic to the intake, at a later date?

Oh, and the "original design" is a clay buck. Not a real car. It doesn't have to do things like actually cool the engine bay, be manufactured at an affordable cost, stand up to real world use and abuse. Please, just grow up.

Burning Brakes
Today while driving I got a BIG thumbs up from an awesome red C7. Then as we were driving, a car pulled up next to us and the driver started taking either pictures or a video.
If that isn't saying enough of what this car inspires I don't know what else to say.
We drive an LT3, non Z51, Elkhart Lake Blue. I believe the color has something to do with the attention.
BTW this thing is FAST.
