That would never work because there is no feel, smell, or sound of a sweet V8. That my friend can never be overlooked or substituted by all the generations of the american V8 that made that possible.
I can tell you have never driven one, there is no sound or smell, but a ton of feel, just launching from a stop in ludicrous mode(not plus) was enough to make me nauseated for an hour, it’s like nothing you have ever felt.

Teslas might be fast, but they look like boring sedans. And can they go fast through a turn ?
See post 200, here’s AS for reference and it would have been 7th at a national event in this higher class. They’re heavy, but the weight is down low. They only have 8.5” rims, so that’s on 245mm square tires. I don’t like them, but the dual motor performance 3 model results are impressive.
With this logic just buy a Tesla and you will smoke everything on the road like they are standing still. A Tesla Model S P100D and a Tesla Model 3 Performance will smoke any stock Corvette and nearly everyone on the road in in 0-60 and quarter mile times.
Tesla model 3 performance's 0-60 is 3.2 seconds, and quarters at 11.8. How do you figure it smokes any stock Corvette?
Well stated sir. If I wanted a muscle car I'd buy this .............
LOL, that's great!

Just so happens the almighty 2020 gt 500 760 horse stang is spec'd out to do 0-100 in 7.6 second (like the C8) which has a DCT like the 2020 C8 but with a 760 horse and 630 ftlbs of torque compared to just under 500 horse and torque. The Base corvette also trounces the SS camaro, the mustang GT and the 1320 Dodge challenger which all run in the sweet 12.0 range with a 11.3 1/4 mile. Us base corvette guys hang with these types for old school fun.
I fail to understand why anyone would want to bring a sportscar to a muscle car show.
If straight line speed is your concern, why pay more for a sportscar?
The primary difference between the 2 classes of cars is this:
One is designed PRIMARILY to go fast in a straight line and one is designed PRIMARILY to go fast around corners.
They're marketed to 2 different segments of consumers.
Motorweek times are extremely slow. They can barely get mid 12 sec on a c7 z51 it’s laughable. It’s been that way for a decade.
Yeah, real slow but they are the bible along with C&D test times to some like "Dr. Ice" here who called me a liar for reporting a faster ET with my Z06 than he had seen posted in R&T or one of the others. Amazing how a guy who has never made a single 1/4 mile pass becomes an outspoken expert after reading his car magazines.
This, plus all the mag times are on un-prepped surfaces. The fast list times come from guys who take their cars to the track where prep helps traction and improves on GM's performance claims. I believe GM uses "street" scenario traction to produce their publication performance stats.
And cool weather, and lower the rear tire pressure, raise front tire pressure etc....

Wait till you start reading about bench racing with lap times.

So in other words the corvette crowd is too good for the grassroot Camaro, mustang, Dodge boys?? Fast street cars, fast 1/4 mile cars are all in the same competitive category . Local cruise nites on the entire east coast have a pleasant mix of these cars with out the high priced snobby exotics thank the lord. I have had plenty of the mentioned cars including corvettes
but no corvette clubs or garage queens for me.
