Whatever anyone says, this has to be the worst sounding corvette between C5,6,7, and 8. Base C7 stingray sounds so much better than this, I can tell you the “thing” with this car will be the sound - similar to how the downfall of the F chassis M3 was the sound coming after the V8 in E chassis.
And I am not buying the whole “sound is hard to capture in video” bullshit. Thats what everyone said in BMW forums when these videos had come out. You can watch every single base C7 stingray video and there is a very nasty, aggressive, and unique V8 sound. All of those videos are also videos and they dont sound like this.
Lastly, this issue is due to lack of exhaust piping. Sound simply does not echo enough. And aftermarket companies simply cannot cheat law of physics and make up space inside the car and lengthen the piping.
Looks fast to me! My 2014 Stingray would fall on it's face shifting 3rd gear at 60 MPH. This car looks like it pulled hard all the way to 100 +
Agreed, looks like they finally got the gearing right, plus fast shifts! On the C7, mainly the naturally aspirated models, they would fall on their face after about 100 mph and it would be a very slow crawl to 150 and beyond.

Thats what the aftermarket is for. Sound is a personal thing. You like it or you don’t.
1. Prepare to buy from the aftermarket like Borla.
2. Don’t buy the car because you don’t like the sound.

Hmm, sound out of open headers pipes sound awesome! Ever go to a drag strip?

That run is very, very slow though. I'm glad he put as many disclaimers as he did because if that was the actual acceleration my order will be cancelled.

Yes seems to fall on its face around 100 or so. I have a z51 etc on order. Keep it until the twin turbo zr1 come out then its trade time. Have driven some 700 plus HP cars. Its great to have real acceleration up past 150 and a cruising speed in the 120-140 range on a road course or with a group too big for the police to corral on the highway
GTS bruce

From the instant you hear the swoosh (accelerator being floored) to 100 I timed it 9.51 seconds. The C8 video it seemed like 10.74 seconds timing it the same way, by ear.

Yes, even ignoring the fact they weren't using launch control. The C7 was faster at every speed after 60 too.

Although the C8 guy said he had a passenger and was going slightly up hill. How much that effects everything I don't know (weight of passenger, how much of a incline) as I don't know much about racing.
