Dealer is the top sales in Dallas....plus I bought a Vette in 2012 from them. Thought they were reliable.
Sounds like it’s Classic. They sold 82 vettes in 2019. You would think they would have their act together, but they don’t specialize in Vettes the way Kerbeck and the other top dealers that sell 10 times that amount in a given year have.
The very top forum dealers have been through new model / first of the new generation rollouts before and have it down to a well organized system.
Purchasing and / or ordering a vette during a new model rollout is a very different buying experience compared to the later years of a generation such as 2012.

Their reveal in Grapevine last October was a goat rope. Confidence is low with them.
Well, I was informed today that it will be another 6-8 weeks before my order is matched with allocation. I have moved up 1 place in line, in a month. I told them to cancel my order and now comes the battle to get the deposit back. I have sent a text message to my original dealer and also an email to the manager requesting my refund.....I can almost guarantee they are going to attempt to screw me out of $5000.
“6-8 weeks” is not a proper answer to that question. It should be phrased relative to known or expected consensus periods. As for your deposit, first look into Texas consumer laws regarding the issue or get a consultation from a reputable lawyer who specializes in consumer law. Many will do that at no charge.
Panfish,
I talked to them multiple times yesterday and it sounds like they are going to refund my deposit back. Thanks for your input.....
I picked a good car, just picked a bad dealer, too late to start over again now.......gonna make a trip to Dallas this weekend and get myself a car !!!!!

If this is really Classic Chevrolet in Grapevine, I am trying to figure out why you had to put down $5,000? They only made me put down $1,000 and was told this is even refundable.
Now my problem with them... I put the deposit down July 2019 and haven’t had my allocation picked up yet. I was told I am 139 of their 300 allocations so not sure when I will be getting mine.

Most likely they realize it would be counterproductive to attempt to defend keeping it in court. Many dealers will test the water with implications you can’t get your money back, but if pressed will concede if they know they are legally impotent. Yup, bad dealer. Sadly, you are not alone. Another example that the only reasonably confident path to a Corvette is via a reputable forum dealer.

I would like to have the car sooner rather than later but it is a third vehicle, it’s not like I need it to get to work... I can wait.
Unfortunately I sold my Porsche too early, a major miscalculation on my part. This is my daily driver so I don't have as much luxury to wait as you do.......
My order has been at 1100 for over a month now......when GM does its DOSP on March 5th, I'm going to call the Concierge Service on the 9th.....if my order doesn't go to 2000 I'm canceling it.....and they've already told me my deposit is non-refundable so I will probably have a fight on my hands. Should be interesting
My dealer called today and said they expect 11 allocations next week. I'm at #9....but they have only had 1 allocation in the last month, so I don't know whether they will get 11 or 10 or 2 or none......
Have been contemplating a new 2019 Grand Sport or a used 2017 Z06.....there's one fairly close to me.......
1st world decisions........terrible terrible........

they are going from 1 allocation in a month to 10 or 11? I hope so. Do you know what their total allocation for the year is (after factoring in their reduction)?

Sorry, I don't know. I have to admit I'm a little skeptical that they will get 11 allocations since they've only had one the past month.....but they are just going on what they've been told...

thank you. I will keep my fingers crossed for you. I am in the same boat. I am within the reduced total allocation for my dealer but they have not received what they expected/hoped to date. If the allocation spike of any kind happens I may still have hope for a 2020. Wish you good luck.
@rcn If you are at Classic in Grapevine, there is no way they only got 1 allocation last month. If TopBeer is correct and they have 300 total allocations, then they should be getting around 15 per cycle.
