Here is your Vroom price. Not even MSRP!
your opinion is just not relevant. BAM !
I do not know what your goals are but as I posted above these cars are being bought by dealers down here for well above MSRP. The example above is for your state of Florida in Cocoa at Bob Steel chevy for a 2021 C8 coupe with just over 3,000 miles traded in this month - all recent data.
His 2021 coupe was a 2LT with a few other low-priced options, it should not be too hard to get over MSRP as he did just this month.

When you first posted you stated "time to lemon law and move on". I and several others offered you other options as using the lemon law would most likely give you the least amount of money for your car. I and others also offered you examples of others flipping their cars at a profit in an attempt to help you. I even provided one example of an individual in the same position as you with a bad tranny yet sold it back to the dealer for a $19k profit. Yet you continue to come on here and mock those trying to help. I'm not sure where you have been over the past year but used C8's are selling well over MSRP. Below is just one more example on Vroom. Just a coupe, non Z51, 2LT for $97k. Yours is HTC, Z51, 3LT. Yours would be listed well over the $97.
Our advice was to stick it out, and if still not happy, sell it for a profit. The price you received from Vroom is low. Most likely because you told them it doesn't run, the tranny needs replacing etc. Submit it again once you get it back and list it as everything is fine and you will get a different quote.
That being said, this thread is the C8 problem thread. We have taken up too much time hijacking this thread. So let's get back to what this thread is for.
One other note, Stangslayer: Unless you're an attorney, or know one who works for free, there will be fees to be paid in a Lemon Law case. So is depreciated value - Attorney fees really going to be greater than or equal to $87K?? Kinda doubt it, but you gonna do what you gonna do, so good luck to you sir.
Or you could just wait, get a tranny, and enjoy the hell out of it. I had my tranny replaced, and nary a hiccup since. Good luck, whatever you end up doing.

If you win a lemon law case against GM ,they are required to pay all your legal fees.
Have unfortunately already some defects on my C8, mileage about 300
1. frontlift partly not working (solved)
-> System was bled several times, no success
-> finally the whole unit was changed
2. engine starts only short and goes out, engine control light is on (under Investigation)
-> a contact problem and CAN bus error was suspected (it was not)
-> defective mass air flow sensor (spare part is ordered)
3. no sound (under investigation)
-> defective amplifier (spare part is ordered)
4. remote control frunk out of order (under Investigation)

But you receive a depreciated value for the vehicle, so if you can sell it at/above MSRP you'll still come out ahead, or at least break even, with a lot less hassle. Now, if you could negotiate a replacement vehicle then Lemon Law would be the way to go....but I don't really know what GM will/will not do in these cases.
1800 miles and out of alignment. I was driving on the interstate last week and the car suddenly just lurched left a bit. Smooth road, nothing in the road. Ever since the steering wheel is not centered (about 1/4" left) and the car drifts slightly right hand-off. Also, while holding straight, the accelerometer shows .03 -.05G right, so the car is definitely out, most likely toe. Anyone else? And yes, before this it was .00G left and right and the steering wheel was centered.

It sounds like either you hit something that you didn't see or something mechanical happened.
I did request to have my alignment checked during the 1st service because of some inside wear on the tires and it was found to be out of spec. The alignment was covered under warranty.
2500 miles and I got a “Service Lift System” error during a drive. My front lift is no longer working. I restarted the car several times and got the same error.

Any fixes besides taking it to the dealer?
Same thing happened to me. Bad switch. Replaced under warranty. Works as advertised now.
I went furniture shopping for a spare extra small dining table and unless it is made in the USA (2-6 weeks), it is 4-18 months delivery. Much is due to a labor shortage (worldwide), not parts or supplies that many are attributing it to. Not to mention due to the supply imbalance to demand, pricing is above inflation rates that we have not seen since the late 70s. It's a matter of time before the base C8 is going to have a substantial price increase too. So much for those expecting/stating discounts on C8s after the first year .
I don’t see evidence of that happening. What are you basing your C8 "substantial price increase" upon? Furniture ?!

I don't know if you do much shopping, but everything is increasing in price - except for the air you breathe. You should have heard my wife when she got home from the grocery store yesterday.
If suppliers to GM are increasing prices then that will ultimately be passed onto consumers so I suspect there will be a more substantial price increase than we are used to from the 2022 model year to the 2023 model year. I was curious last week so I built my 2021 on Chevrolet.com price and build. A 2022 configured just like my 2021 was almost $2,500 more than I paid at MSRP. That was a 2.9% price increase.

Everything is not higher priced. Certainly not substantially. A $2,500.00+ increase in 2022 is not substantial either.

The inflation rate - which measures the cost of everything - was at 1.7 in January 2021. It's now over 7. What may not be substantial to you is substantial to others. YMMV

C7s had similar increases, and no one mentioned anything. $2,500 is just the norm - not unusual either. YMNV
What would it take to get this thread back on track and only post about issues with the C8? So far, this thread has been helpful to see what issues people ran into and how they solved them. Talking about the used market, price increases, and lemon law is nice, but it's clogging up this thread.
My car has a triangular section of body color that shows where a piece of trim tape was either misapplied or has pulled in. That triangular section is tacky like it has some adhesive on it. It is the same on both the driver's door and the passenger door.

The problem has been resolved. Apparently just don’t drive the car for two days. Hope it lasts. Glad I bought an extended warranty.
Designer Imagines A Corvette That Looks More Like a Corvette Than the Corvette
