C8 problems
Run Flats are stiff, loud (depending on pavement) and ride hard. I did not put runflats on my C7 when the original tires were replaced. Handling was about the same, except they were much quieter and cheaper and paid for my AAA membership.
Now hitting a pot hole is different....I thought my teeth were coming out
BAMB....... mY C-7 had the summer run flat and this one has the standard all weathers ..I hear no difference at all...

Drive on a smooth pavement & transition to a rough pavement surface. If the car pulls to one side or the other yes get an alignment.
be safe out there - drive it like you stole it.

I must report the problems/issues that I have had with my C8 for the benefit of others. I will bring these to the attention of my dealer prior to my first service visit.
1. The left door requires a hard slam to properly close, whereas the right door closes easily. This happened from day-one and has not gotten better or worse.
2. The audio mute button on the steering wheel sometimes fails to activate. Brushing and vacuuming didn't help.
3. Twice the error, "Side blind zone detection temporarily unavailable" appeared and was truthful. The first time after a large bump on a freeway. The second time on a smooth surface. Each time normal operation returned during the next drive cycle.
4. As others have reported, a bubble and cracks appeared in the paint on the front bumper cover near the headlight. The bubble later busted and flaked away, leaving a BB-sized unpainted area and paint cracks. This started after two months of service. It has not gotten any worse and others have not appeared. What have dealers recommended to fix this?
Paint bubble and cracks on right front bumper cover adjacent to headlight.

- Dealer Experience is awful.
- Had a seat cover replaced and the dealership managed to scratch some leather and plastic trim when removing the seat.
- The seat cover was also replaced poorly and the dealership told me they didn't have the right tools to make it fit perfectly. (I don't know why they accepted a job if they didn't have the tools)
- The replaced seat cover has all kinds of leather creases in it even though no one sits there.
- My drivers side window is not aligned correctly and make noises when I drive. It needs to move towards the rear by 1 CM to fix, but two dealerships have expressed that they are too afraid to adjust a window. I need to find a third dealership to do a window adjustment. It blows my mind.

- Gas cap arm is scratching the paint.
- I need to get a dealership to look at this in the spring. I don't have high hopes.

- Chevy didn't fully paint my trunk. You can see a whole section that wasn't sprayed along the back right of my trunk.
- I don't trust a dealership to repair this without a ton of orange peel, so I will live with this.

- Chevy didn't install the passenger footwell wall correctly. As a result, the passenger floormat wouldn't fit.
- My delivery dealership didn't think anything was wrong and just laied the floormat in the car..
- I ended up needing to adjust the footwell wall myself while trying to not disconnect the AC line.
- Steering Wheel Suede skin doesn't fit well and there are small bunched up sections on the left and right (9 and 3). I see this on a lot of people's cars with Suede. It's a quality control Chevy thing...

My issues is that the window sits too far forward and it doesn't touch enough of the back padding (near your ear). So it kind of flexes in the back because it's not snug. If I can reindex towards the back of the car easily, I'll give it a shot.
Here's a photo where you can see the gap that needs tightened.

This is my first Chevy and I know the C8 is new, but I've been really turned off by the dealership experience so far. I get that the car is expensive, but if you don't trust your ability to fix an issue like this, how can I trust anything else? I'm not asking for them to drop the motor or transmission.
I suppose I have to keep shopping around for a good Pittsburgh based dealership..
No ETA on when a replacement will become available. Several C8’s at the dealer still waiting for theirs. Time to Lemon Law and move on. I can’t say it’s been a “pleasurable experience”.
