I speak the truth my man, people like this would say they would rather have a one night stand with a fat chick instead of a hot young stripper because they like the conversation afterwards.
No fat chicks, but, oh, to be young and stupid. Must help having daddy’s money. By the way, you should see my watch collection.
Asshat. (Is that one word or two? Who cares, he is what he is.)
Soooooo many beautiful Swiss watches like Breitling etc. Why would anyone buy that albatross?
Why start with Breitling when there are so many other REALLY serious time pieces from the Swiss. Could start with Girard-Perregaux and move forward. My daily wear watch is a GP and I split the DD duties between a C7 and a 328 GTB Ferrari.... I was sold on the C8 until I saw one in person.... lost its allure.... doesn't mean I won't reconsider in 2021/2022... but, for now, as I said, "lost its allure."
I'm sure a lot of people would love to have an obsolete 57 Fuelie or 63-67 Stingray.
Performance is one measure, but pure beauty in the lines is another thing. Ferrari designers know everything must work together. Not the design by committee that GM had on the Stingray. It looks like a bunch of mongoloids were given the task of designing it. One group on square design, another two on rectagles, a few more on trapezoids. And they just threw them all together. It's just trying way to hard to be something it can't ever be. Look at how many people are waiting for the Z06 and hoping that it takes care of some of the horrible lines and aspects.
Well said. But as can be seen there are plenty of people with zero sense for design. These are probably the same people who have blue walls, green carpet and red curtains in their living room. They will buy anything and say it looks great just because it is new.
Usually when people talk like you they own nothing, I'm willing to bet quite a bit of money that you don't own a c7 Z06.
He is waiting for the Z06 cause the base looks like crap. Once the Z06 comes out he will be holding off for the ZR1. Once the ZR1 is out he will be waiting for the C9 and the story continues.

Some people just like staying with old **** because they're emotionally attached. Then try to push those emotions to others or at least wait until their buddies arrive so they have backup lol. And they also own the old **** too lolllzzzz

That is a fabulous analysis, cogently and precisely stated. lol lol lol

I watched it last night, I must admit, I do like the body mounted spoiler and since GM cancelled my highwing, I just may go that route, it looks a hell of a lot better than the standard Z51 "spoiler".
^^^ Why do you have to end every one of your sentences with lol??? OMG every post!! WTF.
The old adage that children should be seen and not heard is taking on increasingly special meaning with this C8 Fanboi. He claims he owns a C7 Z06 but writes and constantly attacks others like a high school freshman trying to impress his classmates.
As Obi-Wan Kenobi might observe, “The farce is strong with this one.”

Let's see who's car will hold its value better, my c6 zr1 or the base c8.
Nice looking unit but you do realize that you're comparing a ZR1 to a base Stingray, how about you compare a base C6 to a base C8 and then see which one holds it's value more. I will say this, a C7 ZR1 is worth twice as much as a C6 ZR1 and it's only one model year newer, wait until a C8 ZR1 comes out, give it a few years and then compare values.

Kinda ironic you don't think it's garbage, then asking me i drove so and so car. I think you need to go out and experience more cars. The ZF 8 speed is just like the GM 8 speed, in terms of how many gears. The ZF ***** on the GM 8 speed in every way possible. Go drive a car with a ZF.
The GM 8 speed is ******* ****. Garbage. It sucks. It shifts quick when you're giving it 100% throttle input and the shifts are ONLY fast 2-3 and 3-4. @ 100% throttle input.
EVERYTHING ELSE is garbage. It can't downshift properly. it's very slow and sluggish for any part throttle. The shuddering. Auto Z's overheat. THe 5th gear brick wall. I mean i can go on and on.
I will disagree with you there, the DCT in the C8 can handle what, 600 bhp whereas the C7's 8 speed auto, like the one in @Streetspeed717 modded 900 bhp ZR1, is stock and is only now starting to lose it's 5 gear on hard driving.

I agree, the base c6 compared to the base c8 is night and day, although I still don't like the overall design of the c8, it just looks awkward, the front looks great though, as does the interior quality. The performance is an incredible value.
I only made the comparison so show that an old design doesn't mean shitty.
The price difference between a 2019 zr1 and the old one is huge right now, but it won't be in 10 years. I plan on keeping my zr1 cause i obviously love the design and think it's timeless. But i am looking to add another toy in the near future, I'm torn between a 427 c2 or something modern but by the looks of it, not a corvette, unless the c8 z looks significantly different, hopefully it looks like the c8r

There's a '12 at the dealership that I deal with here in Calgary, they want 80k with 30k kms on it. I was half thinking about dropping my C8 order and taking the plunge but I just can't get over the C6's interior, the exterior is great, the C6Z's are good looking cars but IMO, C7's and 8's look better.

I agree, especially the seats and navigation/speakers , i had to change both.

The ZF can handle more power.
My buddies hellcat made over 1000rwhp on his stock trans. He only did a trans tune.
I've seen C7's with 700,800rwhp or more and you can hear the trans slipping after that 4th shift, into the 5th gear brick wall. It sounds all fucked up. It's a shitty unit.
I do agree though the C8 DCT needs to get beefed up. Which it will for the high performance variants.
But the ZF 8 speed is no joke. It's a reason why ZF was chosen to put their 8 speed in a slew of factory cars. The new M5, bentley, all the high performance mopar stuff etc.
It's a solid unit. Not the piece of **** GM came out with.

lol and most people will still choose a C8.
I know i would. The C6ZR is iconic for sure. And i said it a million times it has the best engine GM ever put into a corvette. But that's about it. The car looks old, IS old, and the styling already doesn't compete with todays performance cars. The C7 will age better over time than the C6 did over the same amount of years.
I could have gotten a C6ZR before i got my C7Z. Didn't do that. Rather have something new that looks better. Better interior, newer infotainment and tech etc.

C6's are just too god damn old lollzzz
I think people would actually respect your opinions on this forum if you didn't write like a complete arrogant tool

Breitling? .... yea I have a Navitimer 46..... lost 50% of its value in not even 2 years.... nice watch though... now I know covettes are not the only thing you know nothing about LOL!
Designer Imagines A Corvette That Looks More Like a Corvette Than the Corvette
Slideshow: A Jaguar designer's personal project imagines what a modern front-engined Corvette might look like if Chevrolet revisited the golden age of the Stingray.
