Would like feedback how will they hold up re the heat. They would be nice to add for color.

FWIW, that is why I make PDF's. I sent PM's to others who used LED lights who said dual side tape works fine. I also did my own tests, described in the PDF, using my IR remote temp gun. This is what I found, quoting my PDF:
"At 1/2 hour after driving the C8 with the engine water temp at 185 F and engine oil 175 F. Temps in the areas shown with red circles were all between 100 to 105 F. Particularly where the lights would go it was 100 F. Might heat soak somewhat hotter although after 2 hours checked and all temps were 90 to 95 F. All adhesives said they could handle 200 F continuous and up to ~300 F for short term exposure. Validates the poster comments (from PMs I sent) of “no problem.”
Pic of my temp measurement locations. BTW my PDF also discusses why I picked a brighter light, which was a PM to a forum member who made a similar install with another battery powered LED light said they wished they were brighter. I picked one with shorter battery life BUT brighter! Yep can't put all that in a post, which is a reason I have ~50 "How To/or Info PDFs!
RE Color. This was switching to Red. Not as bright but looks neat at night. There is also an option to cycle between colors at ~1 second intervals.

The Best of Corvette for Corvette Enthusiasts
Don't like to put a link for Non Vender Sponsors but this is cheap AND no Vender Sponsor would carry:
Also, like many, it is IR operated so you need line of sight. No issue as both come on and go off sitting in driver's seat with one remote I keep in the consol. Just point through the glass. One reason I don't like to just put in a few pics or a link is the PDF discusses all the issues. But understand folks who only use cell phones may be reluctant to open!

I based my brightness on 1) subjective comments AND 2) estimated battery life. Long life is "usually less bright!" Mine are very bright on white.
With Amazon there are always folks who buy the same one from China in bulk and sell under whatever name.

I misinterpreted (did ay attention to detail enough) the first light below vs above the window. Good news is that I got to test the Gorilla 38# double sided tape. The light did not want to come off! It took lots of twisting and pulling before I was able to remove it from the lid.

I used these smaller submersible lights:
The nice thing being they fit easily in the recesses for the oem factory lights. Two of them provide PLENTY of light, but as you can see from pics below, if I wanted to I could probably fit 6 total in the recess space, 4 definitely. But IMO that would be way overkill. In fact I actually dim the two that are in there (they have all the usual functions: multicolor, fades, strobe, hard and soft white, cold/warm, etc etc)
Also, since they're only .8 inches deep, you don't see them from behind. I mean if you lay your cheek down on the trunk you can just barely make them out, but if you hit the sides with some black krylon you won't even be able to do that. (I'll be spraying mine now that I've confirmed fitment and usage - which will be easy since they just screw into place.
Used the 3M VHB 4611 Tape and from previous usage in other engine bays I am sure those lights are going nowhere. Showing a pic to show how I had to sandwich two layers of it to fill in the recessed back of the light to make sure the surface was all tape.
