If you've changed out your factory wheels when the car was new, did you do it during PDI?

My car will be courtesy delivered, and I have a good Discount Tire near me, but I'm wondering if the dealer doing it during PDI would be a better choice, or better with DT?

Thanks for your input
When I finally get my car I am taking the new wheels to a speed shop that has done this for other forum members. They also will do a Road Force Balance. I do not trust the dealer with the new wheels. (Your dealer may be equipped to change the wheels and have someone who knows what they are doing).

Thanks for the comment, but Jeez, that would be kind of scummy on the part of the dealer.

Do they pull that **** and try to get away with it?

There's always good ol' dependable Discount Tires

Thank you.

I don't know much about the dealer who's going to do the courtesy delivery except that the courtesy delivery part of the dealership came recommended.

I do have first hand experience with the Discount Tire shop that I've used for a couple of years, and it's all positive, so it's looking more like DT might be the way I go.

Road force balance is a must have for me.

Tire Rack has an installer search that you can filter for Road Force Balance (on desktop site, not mobile).

Thanks for all the good comments and suggestions.

I verified with my local Discount Tires that they do in fact have a ROAD FORCE BALANCE machine.

They'll swap out the tires/wheels/monitors, and balance them for $25 per tire.

When I had tires put on wire wheels by them, I removed the wheels from the car and brought everything to them.

Not that I didn't trust them, but these were knock-off wires on an old Jag E-type - I felt an ounce of prevention, and all that ...

I'm next to decide whether to do the same with the C8.

Any thoughts on that?

Don't mean to be rude, but we are getting too far off topic here. Just as a reminder, this is an Aerolarri wheels thread

How long was the boat ride before Fedex got the boxes? I have wheels coming, they are on the ship, they were loaded supposedly July 23rd. Is a month on the ship a accurate time frame?

I don't remeber the exact days. I know I recieved my pics from Chet on 7/1. And he stated they were shipping out. I received 3 rims on Friday the 30th and the 4th on Monday. So it's roughly 30 days from pics to delivery for me. I hope this helps.

Yes it does, thank you. I got my pics 7/19, paypal notice 7/23, so I may see mine in a week if global shipping didnt get slowed down.

I am getting the Raptor polished wheels, love the look of the wheel. I will be using the GM silver brushed center caps with the bowtie rather than the OE corvette center caps. This is a Camaro wheel I had stripped and polished, the center caps looks great imo.

Wheels look great, definitely the ones I would choose from the Aerolarri lineup. Would look even better installed the correct direction.
