I’m been at 3000 status since 9/22. The dealer (Matick) placed the order on 9/16. No deposit was required since I’m a long time customer of theirs(30 plus years.
Placed deposit with MacMulkin on May 6, 2020 but for a model year 2022, not 2021. Had I gone with 2021, I would have received car about 4 months sooner. Asked to supply build specs on July 30, 2021 and car built on September 16th, shipped on September 20th to courtesy delivery dealer in Ventura, California and received by dealer on September 27th. I picked up car on October 2nd. With Aero Delete option that removed front splitter and rear spoiler

I downloaded the Chevy app and there is a spot for me to activate it, but I didn't try yet until I got some advice from on here.
Other than the dealer, the only way for a buyer to activate OnStar is to push the blue OnStar button in the vehicle. Since you don't have the car, you can't activate it yourself.

Bob, I activated my On Star while it was still sitting in the BG parking lot. I did have the vin, followed it across the country. I may have called On Star. I can't remember. It was easy to do. I don't recall that I even told them I didn't have the car, I'm under the impression they could have cared less.
I did not go through the dealer.

Waiting for my C7 there were rail snafus, cars sat for weeks in an Ohio train yard. Frustrated buyers, how I don't recall activated onstar which led to reports of dead batteries after weeks delays, (mainly to the left coast). Just sayin...

Just wondering if anyone that had their car built the first week of October has had it delivered to their dealership yet?
There is an entire thread that deals with this, I believe it's called "Time from production to delivery" or something similar, if you search on that you'll get plenty of information. The average time from build to delivery is about 12 days, but that can be longer, if your car gets picked for quality control that will add probably a few weeks to it, if you live on the West Coast there are trucking delays in some cases, or probably any number of unknowns. Also they seem to wait to deliver to specific areas until they have enough orders from dealers in those areas to fill a truckload.

I know all about that thread, thanks for the heads up. I was looking for people that recently had their car built to see what it's currently looking like.
2022 C8
Well it finally arrived today Oct. 11. Built 9/23, shipped 10/7. VIN 1727 for those keeping score. I appreciate all the spreadsheet and time
others have put in to track orders.
