A lot of y’all went 3000 in mid February and have already went 3400 with Mar 7 or 14 as TPW. I went 3000 Feb 1st. still not at 3400 but was told by Shane TPW is Mar 14. I would think I would already be 3400 and have a Feb 28 or Mar 7 TPW. Any thoughts ?

Here is a REALLY good video that explains why one car may be assembled before another.

That was great. Thanks for sharing. I’m sure I will answer a lo of questions on here. In my email to Shane asking him I mentioned many of those things. So I’m guessing Red mist is an extremely popular color. I’m getting the front lift but so is a buddy of mine also ordered the front lift and same allocation he’ s two weeks ahead of me on production. I thought maybe destination played into it as well, not the case. Could delay the actual shipping some.

Let me see if I remember the four they stated as being the big reason someone may be put ahead or behind someone else.....
1. Coupe versus convertible........ Certain convertible tasks take longer to complete than a coupe, so they will try to not build too many convertibles in a row, but to intermix them with coupes
2. Colors........ They don't like to paint the same color back to back as if there is a problem with the color, they want to be able to catch the problem and fix it without it affecting too many vehicles, so they like to intermix the colors coming down the line and not paint a batch of one color at a time.
3. Various options........ Certain options take longer to complete, like the front lift, so they will try to not build too many vehicles with these longer tasked options in a row, but to intermix them
4. Supplier capacity........ A lot of parts are not kept in stock by BGA, but are kept by the Supplier, like Seats for instance. So they are at the mercy of the supplier as to whether or not or when they will provide the seats they need for a build, so they have to sequence a car into the line based on when the seats or which ever part it is, will arrive or be available to install into the vehicle.

But yeah, definitely that video is AMAZING to watch.

@Faste60 one last final update for me. My car was built on 2/11 and I picked it up on 2/25 at the museum. If any of you guys take museum delivery, I'd highly recommend taking the touring laps at the Motorsports Park. It was a blast!

Almost exactly a year before that. I definitely picked the wrong dealership.

That or he’s just trying to throw fire on gasoline. 😂😂 Definitely possible if he walked right in and got allocation. I think I saw one or two Jan allocations get a 2/14 TPW, so it’s possible.

It’s definitely possible. My order went in 2 weeks after and I expected a tpw of this week but was pushed back to 3/14 tpw. And there’s people with mid February orders that went 3400 within a week and TPW 3/7. They’ll have their cars a week or so after. 1.5 months after 2000. So sounds about right.

Obviously possible, but not for the "common-man". The stars would have to totally line up; the dealership gets their allocation, their top salesman calls his top customers, says he's got a Corvette allocation, the customer says go for it and bam, done. Just one possible scenario
