Looks like a lot of fun. Don’t think I’ll be able to make it this year but I’ll sure try.

It is a lot of fun. Some great scenery driving through the Black Hills. Watch out for the Buffalo.

Man you have had a long wait, thanks for the update. You were 9, how many does your dealer get a year. Your probably toooo late to hedge you but, but maybe not.

I placed my order on August 16th of 2021 and my car was delivered to my dealer on February 22nd. I shot a photo of the car before being cleaned up and being prepped, but it still looks pretty nice! I really don’t understand those who gave deposits and ordered well before me and they are still sitting in a queue waiting for an allocation.

Did you pay over msrp? Or go to a smaller dealer with no one on their list and minimal allocations? Cause I went to a smaller dealer, only one on the list but they had zero idea when or if they’d even get an allocation. In those situations it’s luck of the draw. You could see one quick if they happen to get an allocation. Or never see one at all. So a lot of people have been placing a deposit at one of the big corvette dealers just to give themselves an absolute chance and then placing a back up wild card deposit at a smaller dealership in hopes of getting a quicker allocation. It worked out for myself also.

You either got lucky with the dealership you chose or payed over MSRP. I called probably 30 dealerships around where I live and all of the were between 12 and 24 months wait time. The big three are all over a year. There are stories on here of people getting lucky and getting allocations in a month or two and paying MSRP but that definitely isn’t the norm.

You are correct. It's all about timing and some luck.
