Just confirmed with Shane. 4D00. I wonder if the natural progression is to go 4000 to 4D00 to 4200. Guess it is wait and see. I thanked Shane when he emailed me that and then quickly wrote back and said this "It's standard protocol. Every car sees that status."

I'll take it from Shane that right now 4D00 is not QC purgatory. It makes sense if you look at the event code heirarchy. Every step is outlined and the car goes to 4000 before it goes to 4D00 so I think this is very normal.

Build on the 22nd. Just hit 4B00 (Bayed) today.

Unfortunately they said the estimated delivery date if 12/23/2021. Was expecting it much quicker than 3 1/2 weeks for delivery.
What is the normal ship time California cars?
Do they put a really long date on there until they have firmed up shipping carrier scheduled?

I think 3 weeks for CA deliveries is normal. I sure hope so see mine next week but then my dealer is probably 6 hours from BGA in VA. Good luck.

With a 12/13 TPW I would certainly think it would be built before the holidays. Not sure how many days a car takes to build, but I would guess maybe 2 days. Depending on where you’re located, you could have it the week between Christmas and New Years.

@bmanahan That really does seem to be a "longer" period of time to be bayed. It also diminishes my hope of getting my car (scheduled to be built this Thursday, December 2nd) before Christmas. It makes me wonder: (1) how many cars during a month's production at BGA are for California (or West Coast) purchasers, and (2) if your estimated delivery date is based on having to wait to get additional C8s built and shipped on the same transport.

Oct 20 allocation and just moved to 3100. They told me TPW is not available until 3300. How did you get TPW at 3100?

I have been following the November allocation thread. Several folks have 12/6 TPW's. That defiantly stings a lot.... and make no sense. Nov allocations getting cars before Oct allocations but what do I know. (I went from 12/6 TPW originally to 12/13)

Best I can tell it's the smaller dealer allocations from Nov getting ahead. For example from the spread sheet doesn't look like a single MacMulkin car has a TPW before 12/13.

No idea if ADS an allocation number are coming into play here?

I think a lot of it is just how a series of cars get batched together for production. I recall something along the lines of the spray booth has to be flushed between every color. There’s also the way to maximize efficiency for sending trucks around the country, in addition to not flooding any one dealer with a ton of cars at once. It sucks, I feel you. I’m probably going to get built after some December allocations. But it is what it is between BGA’s production schedule and a little bit of RNG. At least your car is likely to still be a Christmas or New Years present. 🙂

From what I've been reading TPW can be tentative or target. Tentative is what I am at 3100

Possibly to an extent but not universally so. Small dealer November allocation here at 3000, and lots of others on November list with non-mega-dealer allocations also at 3000. Notice I didn’t say “still” at 3000 out of respect for the October folks at 3000….

Checked with the Concierge this morning and I am at 3400 YAY! Also just got my full VIN as well and barring no plant issues, I should be built next Wednesday, Dec 8th.

"I hope you are doing well today! I have located your order ZTSQF8 and can see that your vehicle is at the Event Description 3400 - Broadcast.

You have a Target Production Week of 12/06/2021– congratulations! Your order is scheduled to be built sometime that week. Our system does not indicate a specific date. We would recommend reaching out Friday the week of 12/06/2021 as this is the earliest we may have an update for you!"

Mine was built yesterday, cleared quality control apparently because it’s scheduled for delivery to our dealer in MN on Wednesday the 8th.

Congrats, you’re just a few behind me (7823). No word on my shipping though… dealer was expecting it for Dec 1 but it’s now been delayed/TBD
