Agree. Truck guy screwed up but no way he did that on purpose.

Whenever I'm going to a store or any kind of establishment my passenger always ask " why are u parking so far away " some people will never understand. I park in the lonely spot furthest away from the store and walk as far as I have to. I had a brand new camaro in 2011 and came out of the grocery store to find a ding in my driver's side door, looks as if someone just mindlessly swung their door open and hit mine. I learned my lesson that day.

I'm voting accidental by a bad driver. Very doubtful anyone with a truck like this would intentionally risk even a scratch to their own vehicle and too many witnesses in daylight. Plus added insurance premiums. If the truck driver wanted to damage the 'Vette, there are better ways and with less chance of getting caught.

And he would have drove off if it was intentional.

Bubba buys a truck. Bubba jacks it up so high it presents any number of potential dangers to other vehicles. Bubba always backs in because it’s just what all the other Bubbas do. Bubba thinks he is cool. Darwin and Murphy love the way Bubbas constantly revalidate their theorems.

Did you know that transportation companies teach all of their drivers to back first? It's a proven fact that having a wide field of vision is more important when you're pulling out of a parking space than it is when you are pulling in. It reduces the chance of accidents.

Upon further review, I think the C8 owner had buyers remorse. He was wishing he bought a supra instead. Paid the guy in the truck to do it.

Any time a driver makes a maneuver in a motor vehicle, it is the drivers responsibility to make sure the maneuver can be done safely.

It isn’t an accident, it is a crash, and the contributing factor is an improper turn.

C8 backed in previously too close to space on driver's left. Truck then proceeds out to the right later, does not see the car because of height. Fault of both. Stuff happens.

How can anyone say that this is the Corvette owners fault! The C8 is properly parked between the lines of his parking spot and his front is not sticking out of the parking spot. You can see in this picture that the truck pushed and dragged the front end of the Corvette over toward the one side. So what if the Corvette wasn't perfectly centered. A lot of haters here. I can't believe that some of the Corvette Forum members actually blame the Corvette owner and think that the Corvette owner deserves this damage.

Unless the glass moves, not the housing.

Certainly not the C8 owner's fault, but poor judgement if he parked next to that lifted truck. Fairly obvious that the truck driver would not be able to see the C8. Not excusing the truck driver either.

There's a lot of monday morning quarterbacks in here commenting that the c8 should have "centered" in the space or not used that space at all. For all we know the c8 was there before the truck. Those who assign even 1% blame to the c8 driver are nuts and high out of their mind.

The truck driver needs to know what is around them. They need to look around their vehicle before leaving since the truck is so high.

Looks to me like the truck was pulling OUT of his space, and simply didn't see the C8 from his super-sized lifted truck. Whether the C8 was parked too close to the edge of the space is immaterial. As a driver, HE is obligated to pay attention to his surroundings and drive safely without hitting another vehicle, especially one that isn't moving. Truck driver's fault, period. If you hit a parked car, in no world is it the parked car owner's fault.

Nice paint correction & ceramic coating tho on a beautiful truck. I bet he/she cried after getting out & seeing this. Would have loved to listen in on both driver's phone calls to their insurance company!
