So cool we are all helping each other! Best thing about this forum. Enjoy long weekend all! And do try Sport Mode 6! Then put back to OEM mode… LOL you will for sure!
I find that Sport 6 is a bit too aggressive for me ...Sport 4 is perfect...
Congrats on getting your new C8 soon! The simple answer is no! While you can switch to different modes the factory provides none of them will come close to the experience the throttle controller provides! Why all of us that have it say WOW! Game changer and holy shi#t! You know we have all already been through all the factory setting modes by now.
Good luck with your new C8 but trust us this controller will be the best $200 you spend!

Thanks for the responses. I know this will sound dopey, but my wife has a 2023 Hyundai and it has a sport mode that drastically changes the accelerator pedal response, especially for a 4-cylinder turbo setup. Hence, my reason for asking about the C8 modes, as it seems they have more adjustability than the meager Hyundai!
Only think keeping from ordering one now is I won't be able to play nice during break-in!

The biggest compliant I have with the C8 is that throttle response is not linear regardless of mode selected...Also, I find that the pedal response is somewhat numb...The Soler controller fixes this as well as adding additional throttle sensitivity settings you cannot adjust for in the C8...
Not trying to knock this product and may well end with one if I ever get a build week.
But meanwhile I’m curious how this compares to setting a personalized mode. Can you not set the throttle to aggressive in the on screen c8 settings?
No. You can set the powertrain mode to Tour, Sport or Track. Those affect throttle tip in, but also affect other things, like shift points, how rapidly the transmission shifts, how long it holds revs after an upshift, and more. There's no adjustment for throttle sensitivity by itself. And the difference in throttle tip-in in the different modes is much less than can be set with the Soler.
That said, having driven a Z06, (although only briefly), I felt that while throttle tip-in in Tour is pretty lazy, in Sport it felt much more responsive. If I normally drove with powertrain in Sport, I might not feel the need for the Soler.
No. Pedal floored is 100% throttle regardless of mode. But how often do you drive with the pedal to the floor? This makes the car feel much more responsive at partial throttle openings where we spend probably 99% of the time. It makes the car feel much more like a sports car should.

Don't knock it till you've tried it. It transforms the driving enjoyment at anything less than 3/4 throttle, which is where you spend 95% of your time.

Red mist nailed the benefit! I want a 495 hp to feel aggressive and responsive with no lag or linear pedal. I want to have a raw unleashed muscle car! The controller on Sport 6 does that in spades. You will ask yourself why didn’t Chevy to this???
I haven't noticed any significant change running in sport 4...The controller just adds more linearity and changes pedal sensitivity depending on the setting...That said, if you're constantly mashing the pedal then yeah, your mileage is probably going to decrease!
Probably a little bit in around town or back roads driving. Not on the highway. It's basically the same as if you push the gas pedal down further. So yes, you're giving it more throttle, which will use more gas. But you'll get more smiles per gallon.
One other feature of the Soler that I haven't seen mentioned here: In the Settings menu (in the phone app), there's a "Lock" option. Turning that on completely disables the gas pedal. Pushing it down does nothing. Not a bad anti-theft feature if you park your car outdoors, or are staying at a motel, etc. Won't keep someone from towing the car away, but it will keep them from driving it away.
It's plug and play, I installed it at 700 miles but haven't found the right mode yet for city driving. Do make sure to wait 10-15 minutes after turning off the ignition so you don't get an error code. It was a bit frustrating and a PITA to crawl under and install it. A few scratches and bruises later, I'd happily pay someone else to do it
Mine has been installed for about a week now and I'm slowly making my way up to more aggressive settings. I started mid-range in the Comfort settings range and have slowly advanced to Sport 2. I'm not sure how much farther I will go but I still seem to get used to each new, higher setting after a few hours of driving. I love the way this product makes my Z51 feel alive.
I moved down to sport 5 and love it! I found Sport 6 was too much of a beast when the red lights turned green and let her rip! And yes it totally unleashes the true acceleration this car has. Best description is it unleashes the acceleration lag. You go instantly!!!
Ok, I decided to give this a shot and found that after trying all the discount codes in this thread that 50-OFF-TC combined with DLXVETTE got me the controller for $160.40 delivered. I was less than impressed with a different brand controller on my C7 as I found that when you floored it, sometimes the revs would go extremely high and the power would disappear, kind of like pushing in the clutch at full throttle. Anyone experience this with the Solar? Pedal commander has been flawless and made a noticeable difference in my F350 and the Solar is 1/2 the price.
