The greatest compliant I have with the C8 is that throttle / pedal response feels a bit numb and nonlinear...The Soler controller fixes this as well as adding additional throttle sensitivity settings and features you cannot adjust for in the C8 for a far more engaging drive experience...

just repeating what he asked & was not answered, as i said above.
sooo, this item does nothing to improve performance & may even make gas mileage worse & you have to pay extra for it. makes sense to me LOL!!!

It improves throttle response as mentioned a few times now as well as other useful features....

I haven't seen any significance change in mileage on Sport 5 setting...But even so mpgs aren't really a concern to me anyways as I can afford the gas...ha!

But ok..bye...LOL!!

Next.

I've only ever done 'performance' mods to one of my cars... that was my 2017 WRX. I simply added a Cobb Accessport with a stage 1 map (not much of a mod, of course). While it might have added a bit of HP/Torque, that was not the reason for doing it. It literally changed the way the car felt from remapping the throttle response code. I LOVED IT! That was like $600? To get something similar for less than $200 for what will be much more of a beast is beyond worth it. I already have mine in hand, and I won't have my c8 for weeks. I don't care. The reviews for this product are off the chart. Can't wait! I know I will love this purchase.

It’s amazing how people throw darts at those who have found a product that does as advertised and makes the C8 drive like an unleashed animal! Maybe you should try it before poking fun at it! (It has a 30 day no questions asked money back guarantee, no brainer)

“Tough doing a book review having not read the book”

In the meantime those of us that have one are smiling on every acceleration. Btw if worried about gas consumption use setting ECO 1 !

All it does is change the ramp curves by adjusting input voltage from the pedal to the TB. So if stock is 1/2 throttle at 1/2 pedal travel it can be adjusted so 1/2 throttle is at a 1/3rd or 1/4 pedal travel. WOT is the same as stock pedal to the floor.

IMO, like with any new car, you quickly adapt your driver input to achieve desired goals. Do you really even think about how far the pedal is depressed at any given time?

A faster curve can yield unwanted results like too much throttle position change with very little pedal movement. A slower curve serves to dampen this.

The perceived advantage of this devise is an illusion. 2 cars side by side, one with and one without Soler will perform exactly the same.

Default Missing point

Last time, we are not suggesting it adds HP or makes the car faster.

We understand how the product works, It is about improving drivability and feel!

Does Sport mode oem provide more HP on the C8 than touring mode?

hmm, why did chevy add these different driving modes? Do they make the car faster and add HP?

Soler provides many more settings within each of these modes to customize the drivers acceleration to pedal experience, or said another way enhancing custom drivability!

I believe you guys are confusing throttle response with pedal sensitivity. With or without Soler if you move the pedal as needed to achieve a desired throttle percentage the response is the same. Other than the microsecond longer it takes with the stock pedal sensitivity.

Default Different driving modes

Why did Chevy create different driving modes that don’t make the car faster or add HP? It’s about drivability and preference. Chevy chose a single pedal to throttle setting in each of these factory OEM modes.

The device is providing 64 pedal to throttle options that affects the enjoyment of driving the C8. Those like me and many others who tried it, love it and are not returning it! That tells you something … but naysayers won’t even try it.

That’s fine, driving a numb pedal and a sports car that feels restrained is a drivers option too.

At the end of the day, we all own an amazing car! Let’s enjoy it!

I agree. If you guys like them then go for it. Just don't make out that it does more than it actually does.

#1 it does not increase performance.

Is there a reading comprehension problem in America or just here on the forum? Where in this thread has anyone who has a Soler throttle controller claimed it increases performance or made any other claim other than it increases driving pleasure?.

I have a Borla exhaust installed on my C8 that cost me about $4700 installed (rather than the less than $200 for this product). Did I buy the exhaust to give me more horsepower or a better quarter mile time? NO! I bought it to correct a perceived deficiency in the OEM performance exhaust and give me more driving pleasure by making my C8 more like the sports car I wanted.

For the naysayers - try it before you knock it, or at least stop reading false claims into the positive reviews.

When it comes to discussing the Soler Throttle Controller, it's essential to address a common misconception surrounding its purpose. While some might perceive this device as a means to enhance performance, it is crucial to understand that its true value lies in elevating driving enjoyment rather than outright improving performance. Let's delve deeper into the key features and benefits of the Soler Throttle Controller, shedding light on how it amplifies the pleasure and satisfaction derived from driving your 2020-2023 C8.
-
  1. Instantaneous Responsiveness: One of the primary advantages of the Soler Throttle Controller is its ability to deliver immediate response to your pedal inputs. While this heightened responsiveness might not necessarily increase the performance capabilities of your vehicle, it undoubtedly enhances the driving experience. The moment you engage the throttle, you'll feel a seamless connection between your input and the car's acceleration, allowing for a more engaging and satisfying driving sensation.
  2. Customizable Driving Modes: The Soler Throttle Controller offers a range of customizable driving modes that cater to different preferences. Although these modes do not directly boost the car's performance, they allow you to tailor the throttle response to your desired driving style. By selecting the Sport mode, for instance, you can create a more spirited driving experience, amplifying the car's characteristics and making each drive more exhilarating. It's important to recognize that these modes contribute to driving enjoyment rather than actual performance gains.
  3. Enhanced Control and Precision: While the Soler Throttle Controller may not increase the power output of your vehicle, it undeniably provides a greater sense of control and precision. By minimizing any lag or delay between your pedal inputs and the car's response, the controller empowers you to maneuver your C8 with finesse and accuracy. The heightened control translates into improved confidence behind the wheel, allowing you to navigate corners, overtake with ease, and enjoy a more engaging driving experience.
  4. Immersive Driving Experience: Driving enjoyment encompasses a multitude of factors beyond pure performance numbers. The Soler Throttle Controller contributes to an immersive driving experience by heightening the connection between driver and machine. The instant response, customizable modes, and increased control work in unison to create a more engaging and satisfying journey. Every drive becomes an opportunity to indulge in the pleasure of driving, allowing you to appreciate the nuances and dynamics of your C8 on a deeper level.
  5. Embracing the Joy of Driving: At its core, the Soler Throttle Controller is designed to celebrate the joy of driving. While it might not enhance the measurable performance metrics, it amplifies the emotional and experiential aspects of being behind the wheel. The controller adds an extra layer of enjoyment to your driving sessions, making each moment spent with your 2023 C8 more memorable and fulfilling. It fosters a stronger connection between driver and vehicle, reminding us of the sheer pleasure derived from the act of driving.
It's essential to shift our focus from the narrow perspective of performance improvements and instead embrace the true essence of the Soler Throttle Controller. This device is not about increasing horsepower or torque figures; it is about enhancing the driving enjoyment, immersing oneself in the experience, and embracing the sheer joy of being behind the wheel. By understanding the purpose and benefits of the Soler Throttle Controller in this context, we can appreciate the unique contribution it makes to the overall satisfaction and fulfillment derived from driving our beloved 2020-2023 C8.

Do any of you use their modified TB?? I had one in my C7 and it was great. Did the same thing as this controller while also offering better air/fueling to the engine.

It's that same tired old retort. 99% of the people in these threads know it doesn't increase performance and they never say it does, but you always have those one or two guys that will post in the thread constantly spouting off about how it does nothing to performance as if anyone said it did hence VegasVette can't get out of his own way. Always someone who thinks there the smartest in every room.

I have their 91mm throttle body that I installed. It's my favorite mod to do on GM cars.
