Here is a good piece from another forum, explains why those of us who have the Soler controller are accelerating with smiles! Why OEM C8 feels like “heavy sluggish pedal”.
Tip in is simply the ratio between how far you push the pedal and how far the throttle plate actually opens. It might seem intuitive that if you push the gas pedal halfway, you’re opening the throttle plate halfway, too, but that’s not often true, especially with powerful cars built by companies with legal departments. To make the Corvette and other cars ‘easier to drive,’ and reduce the risk of the car accelerating so suddenly that a driver not experienced with powerful car loses control, the throttle is very nonlinear. 25% of gas pedal might translate to only 10 or 12% throttle opening. On powerful GM cars, 50% gas pedal translates to only 25% throttle. As you continue to push the gas pedal further, the curve gradually “catches up,” so at around 85% - 90% pedal you’re at a 1 to 1 ratio.
Recently someone who I greatly respect said he put one on his (GM, but not Corvette) car, and was blown away by how much more alive the car felt. And the GM throttle programming is VERY conservative. You really need to push the pedal down a lot further to get much more “action.” Also, throttle position controls not just the amount of air the engine is getting, but also shift programming. More throttle equals higher shift points and more “snappy” shifts, with less clutch slip, as the ECU / TCU think you’re driving in a more spirited manner. The supposed benefits of these seem possible.
I received my Soler Controller yesterday and installed it this afternoon. Took me about 2 hours to do it. A lot of that time was spent diddling around. I waited a full half an hour after opening the doors hood and removing the floor mat for the TCM to clear.. Most of my effort was actually getting to the wiring. I am ~ 200 lbs and my right shoulder don't work right so it was a bit of an effort doing it with one hand for the most part. I read about some issues with unplugging the TCM from the ECM, so last night I piddled with it for a bit. I found that if you pulled back the red lock then pressed the black tab and pulled it came out easily.
After following all the steps to the letter, I was ready to start. No CEL, no issue just started right up and worked. Opening was OEM. I changed the setting to Sport 4 and blipped the throttle - you could immediately tell a difference. Took it on a short drive and notice right away how much more responsive the throttle was. I am a happy camper. The Soler controller does exactly what it claims it does.
I believe you guys are confusing throttle response with pedal sensitivity. With or without Soler if you move the pedal as needed to achieve a desired throttle percentage the response is the same. Other than the microsecond longer it takes with the stock pedal sensitivity.
I believe that people who have never tried one really don't understand exactly how it changes the feel of the car. I felt, and said, exactly what you just did. Until I tried it. You can say the same thing comparing Tour Mode to Track mode: just push the pedal down farther in Tour and it feels just like track. Except it doesn't.
I find it amusing that people who haven't used one think they know better than every single person who has tried it.
I agree. If you guys like them then go for it. Just don't make out that it does more than it actually does.
#1 it does not increase performance.
I haven't seen one single person claim it increases performance. Neither does the NPP exhaust. But almost everyone pays extra for it because of the way it makes the car sound.

The NPP does increase HP by 5 hp. You really cant feel that, but it is measurable. The Soler controller feels more responsive while adding no power.
We all are fully aware of what the controller does. The post I shared clearly explained…

update, for those looking to get one it seems code : 50-off-tc is no longer working for a discount. Code DLXVETTE is still active and provides free USPS shipping when selected at checkout. (Need to enter email first then the code for free shipping)
For those of us that have one, enjoy it all weekend!!
Got mine in a few days ago. Was looking on where to mount the controller since I havent seen many good areas. Decided to design a hinged bracket and 3D print it. Mocked it up in a few areas not sure which would be best. You think it better on the very bottom or higher up like shown. Will wire it in maybe this weekend. Here are a few pics.
I haven't hooked up or used the controller display since I installed the controller...The display unit is still sitting in the box it came in...The Soler Phone App is all you really need to use to change controller settings!

hmm, for some reason I figured the controller needed to be plugged in to use the Bluetooth on the phone. Might do that.

The display unit is not needed when using the App...I also have the long control line rolled up and tucked away under the carpet behind the accelerator next to the controller ...A very stealth install!

Same, there is NO need if you are using the updated model with bluetooth. I never even took the display out of the box.
Just installed and took it for just a short ride. A noticeable and nice difference! Looking forward to driving it some more and checking out the different levels.
Directions could be a little more concise about the wire to the controller not being necessary once it's paired.
I would say it's mandatory to remove the little plug on the left side of the gas pedal and remove the 10mm bolt, then pop the gas pedal out and release the red tab and disconnect the wiring. I pried apart the connector with a screwdriver, but didn't like doing it/was a little worried but it came apart fine.
Installing another one of these would take about 10 minutes.
