I have the android app but would like an AA widget for it so that when using android auto you could bring up the app, similar to how you can access other apps like waze, streaming music, etc...

Google severely limits the kinds of apps they allow to work within AA. Navigation, music and weather have pretty much been it, although there's now a garage door opener app that will work in AA. Your idea would be really nice, but probably not going to happen.
I realize the Soler controller does not affect vehicle performance, but I do believe the more aggressive acceleration from 0% to normal cruising speed results in more aggressive shift points from the DCT. Just one more benefit of the Soler controller!

I agree. Before installing the Soler, I hated driving with the DCT in auto. It just felt lazy, even in Sport mode. But with the Soler on Sport 4, the DCT stays in lower gears longer at part throttle, improving acceleration at least a bit. Throttle controllers are going to have no effect at full throttle, but perhaps a slight improvement in actual performance at part throttle.
When I installed the soler controller on my c7, it was tough to get everything wired up at the gas pedal, but I was able to do it. I recently got a c8 and for the life of me I could not get the connector at the end of the wire harness to detach from the pedal assembly. I must have spent an hour contorted underneath the dash trying to remove it but it won't budge. Is there a special trick to getting the connector to detach on the c8 from the pedal assembly or is there a special tool that I need to use? I'm starting to think that unlocking the connector (pulling the red lock tab up) has no effect. Maybe the mechanism is broken and it's permanently locked. Or someone in Bowling Green decided what a good prank it would be to superglue them together

mine came apart easy.. outside of the 10 minutes to ensure power was drained, hands on took maybe 7 minutes total (app was already on my phone).

I was finally able to get it to detach... I had to put on a pair of gloves with some grip and once the red tab was in the unlock position, I pressed down on the red tab (not to the lock position) and kind of forward in one motion. Phew. Took the car out for a drive afterwards and thoroughly enjoyed sport mode. What a difference.

Under the red lock tab, there is a short rectangular tit that you press down while pulling apart. I found this out while diddling with the connector before I installed it on the car.

I had to uninstall my Soler yesterday to get my '21 HTC ready to sell since my ZO6 should be here by the end of the month. I certainly forgot what a difference it made having gotten accustom to it.

My review: Soler Controller = Instant acceleration on Sport 4/ or 5 and a WOW experience well beyond OEM. I have had several months installed with no looking back!!! Accept those behind me. 👍🏻 LOL!
Reading while waiting. Anybody with experience using AI Mode?
I have not but it interests me. Honestly I have been stuck on playing in sport 4-6 with 6 best suiting my typical driving style. I have not yet to try any other modes

I'm not sure what it really does, but I don't want the throttle response changing without me knowing it. I want it to always respond the same way so there are no surprises.
