Got mine in a few days ago. Was looking on where to mount the controller since I havent seen many good areas. Decided to design a hinged bracket and 3D print it. Mocked it up in a few areas not sure which would be best. You think it better on the very bottom or higher up like shown. Will wire it in maybe this weekend. Here are a few pics.
I finally reached 500 miles and decided to start at Sport 5. As others have mentioned, the throttle response is much faster.
For me, I think that Sport 5 is a little over zealous for the next 1000 break in miles.
So I settled for Comfort 10 until 1500 miles.
I am glad so many have taken the leap and installed the controller and discovered the fix I knew it needed.
It is amazing the difference this small mod can make.
For those still thinking of buying and trying… some of the discount codes have expired. I know this one for free shipping is still working: DLXVETTE
you must enter your email at checkout first before it will accept the above code and also select USPS delivery option. A member at my Corvette club just ordered his two days ago.
Good weekend and happy Father’s Day to all. I will be going full “throttle” this weekend. I may drive C8 too, LOL
Ok - I got my Soler controller installed - took me about - 10 minute wait for the TAC to power down - then maybe 30 minutes? Where 28 of those minutes were trying to get that damn clip!!
Just notes from my experience - there is a light under the dash that illuminates while I had the doors and trunk open. I noticed the light went out right at the 10 minute mark - coincidence? lol - anyway - when that light went out, I felt more comfy about proceeding with the install.
First thing I did is removed the grommit, unscrewed that 10mm screw and then pull back and the accelerator pretty much popped off (took a bit of force). The cable on the connector is pretty damns short, so in order to try to get the clip with my little screw driver (one of those ones you use on glasses) - I had to twist the accelerator on its axis and then upwards to get the clip in the direction I needed to stick the screwdriver in there.
That being said - getting that clip was the hardest part of the whole install. Damn it was a pain - but I finally got it. The rest was easy - pop in the harness, connect that to the accelerator. I pushed the remainder of the harness and wires back behind the carpet. There is enough room back there for it all. I double checked none of the wires were kinked or anything like that and then slipped the accelerator back in and screwed it down.
I hooked up the display to the wire and turned on the car. No CEL, everything was fine. Took about a minute for the screen to come on for the controller, but it finally did. Paired it with my phone and all done! Once done, I disconnected the screen, because I am not going to use it. I wrapped up the wire and shoved that all behind the carpet as well. Worked great - nice and clean.
Now, I don't need the screen - just control it with my phone.
Went for a drive with it. IMO opinion? Its cool - kind of a gadget. TBH, I settled just leaving it on Sport - 0. That seemed the best for me. Just a bit more pop than OEM. Anything above that is too much IMO unless you are aiming to have a good time and not just drive in suburbs. If you are on the freeway? Ok, pop it up to Sport 4 or 5.
In any case - is it worth the $200 and install time? I guess, if you like to tinker - but overall, I wouldn't mess with it much. Would I do it again? Meh - probably not - but again, fun to tinker.
Reading your review, not the product to buy if keeping in Sport 0, IMO and I am sure other owners…The real game changer is Sport 5-6! Untames the beast!
But congrats and of course it’s your right to set any way you desire. Best and enjoy.

Yeah, I get it. I was testing it in the neighborhood, and I felt uncomfortable having it too high in that environment. If I go out to big roads or freeways or what not, I’ll bump it up.
I do agree with one of the previous posts though - I think Sport 0 should have been the OEM from Chevy, but of course there are probably rules about making it too touchy. I think Sport 0 or 1 is good for just driving around the neighborhood and then bump it to 5 or whatever for larger roads.
@CamALot I'm with you. After trying the higher settings I settled on Sport 1. Higher settings for me seemed to make the accelerator too aggressive from a stop and at low speeds. I noticed in stop-n-go traffic it seemed to "punch" it more than I'm comfortable with. A lot of my driving is around town, so Sport 1 is the sweet spot for me. Maybe when I was ten years younger I would have preferred a higher setting.

Yup - it being punchy from a stop can be dangerous when we are in stop and go traffic or at lights/stop signs. That's why I am keeping it low on Sport 0 or 1. That's why I was saying if I jump on the freeway, I might turn it up for fun. But, ya, I was driving it around and when I had it on Sport 5 in my neighborhood, stopping at lights and stop signs - I would just tap the peddle and VROOM... It didn't seem like a good idea.
OK a quick update for me today. I drove the car around a lot more and I think I’m settling on sport 4 as my default. I guess I got a little bit more used to it.

Even Sport 0 is noticeably more responsive than OEM. When I installed mine, I played with settings from Comfort 9 (which seems to be the same as Sport 0), up to Sport 9. I settled on Sport 4 for daily driving, but even Comfort 10 is much better than stock. I find Sport 5 -6 a little too abrupt for smooth driving in typical street use. I did kick it up to Sport 7 on the track, though.
I'll just add that when I installed mine recently the barcode inserted the wrong BT pairing code. One of the digits was off. I would recommend just writing down the last 4 digits of the barcode number on the controller in the install manual then enter them manually or double check to make sure they match up before hiding everything.
I will also add that most of the connector instructions on the forum are not fully correct. I did not need any screwdriver at all. Just slide the red connector back and unplug it. If I was doing it again I would not even waste time removing the pedal. Everything can be plugged and unplugged easily and then hide it all behind the slit in the carpet where the OEM connector comes through.
I went to a cars and coffee driving in Sport 5 and have to admit that driving this car before the controller and after has added an addiction to accelerating! Lol
Completely agree with the fuel economy comments and response. Perhaps the reason the factory programs the pedal with so much travel is to meet fuel economy targets. I'm not complaining at all because the car is definitely more responsive and sporty feeling and will always trade fuel economy for that feeling in this car. I also don't see it going into V4 mode that often which is fine by me as well. I had a Range in my C7 to get rid of V4 permanently.
Using mostly in Sport 5 setting but also really like the ability to change the response on demand. It would be really nice to have the app as a widget in android auto so I could dial it up on the screen when driving.

is the app only for iPhone?
Edit. They make an android app.
